THIS IS FAR MY FAVORITE SQ SUB ON A PORTED BOX 6INCH PORT TUNE TO 37HZ WITH A JL AUDIO HD750/1 MONO CLASS D AMP AND LET ME TELL YOU WOW!!! MY CAR'S WINDOWS AND ROOF JUST FLEX! RIDICULOUS WHILE PLAYING THIS SONG BY B-LEGIT STICKEM.THE BASS GOES ALL THE WAY LOW DOWN TO 20HZ :) I LOVE MY 13.5W6V2 JL AND YOU ONLY NEED ONE BROTHAS FROM ANOTHA MOTHA

This is a 2011 model of this subwoofer. I called the local JL audio dealer and they wanted $200 dollars more for the same subwoofer. My original JL 13 w6 surround broke after 6 years of use. I guess the it dry rotted from being in the car so long. I hope this one last just as long. I set the jumpers n the subwoofer in parallel for a 2ohm load. Then hooked it up to my JL 500.1 amp. Everything works good.

I had 2 12" alpine type Rs both running at about 650w rms and i sold them because i needed the money. Few months later i have this sub put in running at 750w rms and this thing is louder and sounds quite a bit better than those 2 alpines. I strongly recommend buying this sub but i would try to avoid paying retail tho.
