Wonderful Dress

I just received this gown and I love it! Very comfortable and gorgeous. Great price too. I love the train. XS was perfect size for me too. I'm 5'1.5" and 100lbs. I'm short, so this is long on me, but with heels just perfect. I did not realize until I tried on the dress that the lacy sleeve hanging over the left shoulder of the model was only on that side. On the right side the lacy sleeve is attached to the strap.

Scary Sharp - Just Like the Forschner Knives

I am very pleased with this knife set. They are scary sharp, comfortable and safe to grip, and hold an edge.They are also a very good deal. They are nearly identical to the top rated R.H. Forschner/Victorinox knives, but the Wengers are much harder to find in the U.S. and only sell in sets.In Europe, these same knives, with bright yellow handles are the top sellers to professional chefs under Wenger's SWIBO brand.The 3 piece Wenger Grand Maitre and 3 Piece Forschner/Fibrox sets sell for $55-$60 on Amazon, so this 4 piece set with Swiss Army throw in is a deal.On the down side - while they are tough, they are very light weight/not full tang/stamped not forged. These attributes will effect aesthetics, not use, safety, or reliability. They are not nearly as pretty as my Wusthof knives, and the free SA knife is a small but handy pocket type. The box they come in is not fancy.Note that the bread and utility knife are both serrated, the paring and chef are smooth blades.At well under $8 per knife, a full five stars.

Super sharp, great deal for the price

Got the set when they were on sale. I was amazed by the quality and sharpness of the knives when they arrived. As a matter of fact, the bandage on my finger testifies it.Other than the bread knife, I have used the other three. The paring knife was good for peeling apples, a bit too sharp though. The utility knife was good for cutting oranges, although I would like it to be harder and thicker. The chef's knife was perfect for cutting vegetables and meat, and was super sharp, sharper than any knife I have used, so be careful when handling it.Overall, super value for the price.One more thing to add:Be careful with the knife, I am looking at two new cuts on my finger when I am typing. They are much bigger/deeper than if I used my other, dull, knife. I will keep using the knife, but only when necessary.

Good starter set for newlyweds etc, light but looks very cheaply made with no tangs. Plastic handles. Really, if I could do over..I'd not buy this set but get something better. I don't need the serated blades much either, and straight heavier blades would be a lot nicer. Adios ....

The bits came labeled correctly (for the most part), but not all of them. I had to print the product description and check them off one by one to figure out what label was what bit. Even then, a few left me scratching my head.All that aside, the bits are good, the oil for the bearings is a nice addition, and the overall deal? Great.Update: about a year after purchase, and after only one use, one of the edge guides popped off and the screw is still hiding.

I love this Fondue Set

I opened the box and it was as nice as I imagined. Nice heavy cast iron in a really attractive color. Very Happy! We have always used an electric Fondue pot but I prefer this style that requires fuel and fire. Works the same as electric and you don't have to worry about that electrical cord draped across the table - eye sore!

Overall good, with one main issue

I recently purchased this item. It showed up quickly from the seller and had all parts as listed. Assembly was not too difficult, although there is apparently a right way and a wrong way to attach the cross beam floor support. I of course installed it the wrong way the first time, which resulted in the supports not standing straight. I loosened everything and played with it for a while before removing the cross beam support, flipping it over and reattaching it. Everything came together straight and level. The instructions made no mention of this. A simple "This side up" sticker would have done wonders and saved me some time. All things being considered, I wasn't bothered too much by this, overall it was pretty easy to put together and I usually expect to have to take these things back apart before getting it right. So that isn't my main issue. My main issue is with the height of the piece. I have a very low ceiling in my basement, floor to ceiling is exactly 80 inches. I looked around for a long time to find a piece this size. Now Amazon's page doesn't have the exact specs, so I went to the seller's own website and checked it out. They state the height is 68.5". I even called them to double check. This left me enough head room with my ceiling. When the item arrived and I opened the box I was immediately nervous, the beams looked long. I stood them and measured them and sure enough they were 68.5". Only problem is that they get mounted to a 2" floor beam, and the floor beam has rubber footings that raise it another 1/4"-1/2". The chin bar is anywhere from 3/4" to 1" in thickness and mounts to the top of the beams. So total height comes in right under 72". This leaves me with about 8" of head room. That's a little tight. For the most part it seems fine, although I can feel the top of my hair touching the ceiling. If I ever get aggressive and start going fast I will probably hit my head. In the long run I think it will work, but I am not real happy about the misstated specs. Be aware if you have a low ceiling where this thing is really going to sit once it is fully assembled. My only other gripe is that some of the foam rubber on one of the supports has a tear in it. I'll be calling the company to see if they will replace it.Now for the things I like. The unit is really sturdy and it looks awesome. One additional thing I really like is that I'm not really good at doing pull-ups and will put a chair under the bar when I am working out to assist; the push-up handles make a perfect foot rest to assist with pulls ups. Might not work for someone taller, but at 5'7" it works really well for me.In general I would say there are probably nicer units out there, plenty sold by this company, but none that would fit in the space that I have. If you are dealing with a low profile ceiling, this is a nice piece of equipment.

For Low Ceilings.

I was looking for exactly this - a free standing station that could fit in my unfinished basement. At about 5'9" this was perfect. (I'm 5'6" 152 lbs.)It's sturdy for my body though I've never done hanging situps with it yet. I try to do my dips and pullups with legs extended so my feet never interfere and my abs get a workout too.The pullup bar itself is narrow and the foam covering is thin. Easily remedied.Also, there's an awful "rubber-like" smell that takes a few days to dissipate (the opposite of a "new car smell").I've had the TDS Station for about 3 months now and I'm happy I bought it, especially since it was on sale for 1 7 9 free S/H.

Good for tight spaces

I just got my TDS chinup station. Came very fast from New York Barbell Company (2 days). I checked out the individual components and they look quite sturdy. I never had bought TDS equipment before, but, the 2x2 steel looks good and durable.The instructions need to be improved a little more, but getting the thing assembled takes up to one hour. Make sure you assemble on a flat surface (non carpeted). The stand does what it promises.. it stands around 5'9 and it quite adequent for small spaces. Very sturdy and not too much movement during pull ups.

For the money, you can't beat these! I've tried more than a handful of diamond testers before acquiring this brand after finally asking someone who knew what they where talking about for advice.I've been buying and selling diamonds for ten years. I didn't even know a diamond tester existed until recently. Well, that's a lie, but I hadn't ever used one. These are simple, but READ THE INSTRUCTIONS!The biggest things I've found that you absolutely need to know to get any kind of benefit from the diamond tester (I've yet to be able to try out the moissanite one) are as follows:1. The table (which is where you will test the stone unless you're feeling brave) must be absolutely clean. There can't be any kind of mess on it at all. Be it a hair, a speck of dust, fingerprint, etc etc.. Use your fingernail to rub your shirt over it or some other cloth first. If it is not almost sterile, you'll get a negative result 100% of the time.2. Make sure it's had time to warm up.3. Test it several times! If you test it fifty times and it gives just one positive result, it's a real diamond (or moissanite). If it's fake, it'll just give negatives into infinity. I usually test five to ten times - depending on my patience at the moment. But at least five.If you're dealing with diamonds for a living and either you're new at it, or you hire anyone who's new to the scene, I'd strongly advise getting this product. I'd love to come back and read a review about how well it sniffs out moissanites!

Great moisturizer for acne prone skin

This moisturizer works very well on my oily skin. I use it night and day. It smells fresh and keeps my skin looking healthy. It's a bit pricey, but I find that spending a little more money on good products saves me from having to pay for frequent facials to clear up my skin. I use the fenix toner and scrub as well.

As a professional musician and university music professor, I have pretty high standards. Of course, I'm primarily a woodwind performer, and although I've fooled around with guitar since high school, this was my first electric bass guitar. Hofner's Icon model has cheaper wood and generally some cheaper parts than their professional level basses, but I love this instrument. The short scale is perfect for moving seamlessly between guitar and bass and makes technically demanding passages easier than on a standard scale bass. I've gotten to the point where I've taken the bass to parties and played a couple of paying gigs with it. The intonation is pretty good, although it is not up to the level of professional instruments. The main issue is that 1st fret notes are very sharp. The movable bridge is a little tricky to work with, too. I found that I just had to find a spot where there was a fairly decent blend of string height, string angle, and scale for the intonation. Generally, the switches and pickups seem to work pretty well, although the switches get just a little flaky when the temperature and humidity conditions change rapidly. I find that the strings that come with it work ok, but that flat wound strings really improve it, making it useful for rock and jazz playing. I did have to do some minor work on the frets, since two of them were set a little lower than the rest, but just a little adjustment eliminated fret buzz. It's no pre-CBS Fender, to be sure, but for less than $400, it looks good, sounds good, and is lightweight and easy to play.

A GREAT STARTER HOFNER!

When I began playing, this was the first bass that I fell in love with and purchased. Built in China with Chinese electronics and some plywood mixed in, you get what you pay for. Ultimately, it looks good, feels good, and is very playable and quite fun. The several Hofner Icon variants that I used were very quirky especially with sound cutting out when any pressure was put on the bass cable.This is a hollow body bass, just like Sir Paul's, so there is more weight to the neck than the body, causing the Icon to drop at the headstock when worn with a strap and you go hands-free. I tended to tighten my strap and wear the Icon pretty close to my body to counter this.Good luck finding a good case by the way...The next step up is the CT or Contemporary...this is also made in China, but with authentic German Hofner electronics and has a sound block on the inside, giving it a more modern (hence: "contemporary") sound and more weight. The CT comes in around $700 or so and is styled much like the originals complete with a neck pocket...so you can wear your Hofner strap just like Sir Paul.If you really want a GREAT bass, drop the coin (about $2,000) and get a true German-made Hofner like the 500/1 V63 reissue. I would recommend North Coast Music or another reputable Hofner dealer, NOT the big box Guitar Center and such. These guitars have flat wound strings which sound and feel awesome (like warm butter!)...totally recommended! I'm not sure how they would sound on an Icon or CT, but if I couldn't swing the $2k, I would have given it a shot.Overall, I highly recommend the Icon, CT, and German-made Hofners....it just depends on your price point.

Great sound and feel.

This product is extremely light-weight and compact. If you play progressive/experimental rock like myself, and/or you don't play simple three-note bass lines, then you know that your fingers can become rather sore and cramp up if you play for a long time. With this bass this is no longer an issue, as the frets are closer together, and the strings themselves are spaced closer together. This bass has three toggle switches (Solo/rhythm, bass on/off, and treble on/off) which will dramatically change the tone; this also saves time by simply turning the switch(es), rather than having to turn knobs, as I had to do with my Fender Squier P-Bass. I highly recommend this bass guitar to any musician, as it can sound great with all genre's of music.

Improved my quality of life...

Suffering from muscle and joint pain, I purchased this product with the hopes of reducing pain when using the toilet. It's exceeded my expectations in that I can sit and stand with no pain. It has improved my quality of life and I strongly recommend it.

cost effective way to add height to your commode

I could not replace the actual toilet at the time the need arose to add some height to my existing toilet and I did not want another one of those cheap "booster seats" I had used in the past that shift on the bowl either. Originally installed on an elongated bowl, I've been able to modify the front "fins" under the seat to allow this seat to be used with a standard bowl too - see photo added to customer images. This model adds just enough height to make things a little easier. Looks just like the photo in that the seat sticks out a little further than the lid. The seat is very comfortable. Call me vain but I like that it does not scream "handicapped toilet" when you only have one bathroom and visitors drop by. Still happy with this purchase two years later.

"Best out there"

This seat is a commercial grade product. The latches that hold it in place are high quality and the plastic is solid. From a construction standpoint, one might guess it was designed by the engineers at Mercedes Benz. There are several main reasons why this scores so high. One. when it comes to ADA compliant toilet seats (16-19"). most toilets are designed to meet marginal standards of 16 1/2 inches from the floor. This seat elevates another 2 1/8" above. Secondly, it is very secure.You do not want any play or movement from that seat when a handicapped person is so vulnerable. This product was better than the seat that came with my high quality toilet. This has a high price of over $100 but it's worth every penny. The only improvement I'd like to see is a soft close version. Thanks Bemis!
