By Christopher Luce
The price on these had me going back to whatever 'precision/jewelers' drivers I found at stores. The problem I experienced with other drivers was improperly formed Phillips heads and cheap metal. The heads of the cheap screwdrivers never seemed to fit the heads properly, the handles would spin around the shaft when loosening a tight screw, and the head would mangle itself and/or the screw. As a computer tech, I think it is unprofessional to return a computer with stripped screws. This Wiha product eliminates all of the negatives associated with other precision drivers. Handles are comfortable and easy to manipulate, heads grab screws correctly and are able to loosen the most stubborn screws without damage, and the large selection virtually garantees the correct bit is at hand. The price is the only serious drawback to this toolset. As long as you don't lose these, it is a sound lifetime investment.EDIT 9/16/2012- After a couple years, my review stands. After hundreds if not thousands of uses, there is no discernible wear on the driver tips. Some screws (mostly phillips) are shallow or not cut well (not pozi), and are difficult to remove. I'm typically able to press down hard on the driver and engage the head sufficiently. I do not see this as a fault of the driver, rather a fault of the fastener. The chip lifter has been an incredible help- I use it as a mini pry-bar/spudger/wedge. Very handy. The handles remain attached to the shaft to the limits of a hand-held grip. I've never used pliers on the handles (never needed to) but I have a pretty healthy grip and have never been disappointed. Some drivers will be used much more than others, but having the correct size available in the middle of a project is handy. The only way you will be sorry you spent the money is if you lose them.

I was talking myself into and out of this purchase for about a week. Finally I buckled down and decided that I'd rather spend $200 now buying some well-built tools that will last a lifetime, rather than $20 here and there when I need a tool, and buying crappy ones that won't last.I was not disappointed. In my order, I had these, the 7 pc set of ESD safe screwdrivers also from Wiha, and a Kabar knife with some accessories. Somehow, I got next-day shipping on the order. I ordered two nights ago (Monday 3-19-12) and received the order today (Wednesday 3-21-12). I guess Amazon takes care of you when you drop a fat wad of cash.Anyway, on to the tools. Since I wasn't able to find what was ACTUALLY included with the purchase, I will list it here for everyone else, so that you know exactly what you're getting when you press "Buy":edit: I'm an idiot, I found the product description that already displays this information. Lol.- 56 slot plastic bench stand/organizer (there's 49 screwdrivers and 1 prying tool included in this set)- 10 slotted/flathead screwdrivers, sizes: 4.0, 3.5, 3.0. 2.5, 2.0, 1.8, 1.5, 1.2, 1.0, 0.8- 10 nutdrivers, sizes: 5.5, 5.0, 4.5, 4.0, 3.5, 3.0, 2.5, 2.0, 1.8, 1.5- 8 torx drivers, sizes: T10, T9, T8, T7, T6, T5, T4, T3 (two more further down)- 8 hex STANDARD drivers, sizes: 1/8", 7/64", 3/32", 5/64", 1/16", .050", .035", .028"- 5 hex METRIC drivers, sizes: 3.0mm, 2.5mm, 2.0mm, 1.5mm, 1.3mm- 4 philips drivers, sizes: 1, 0, 00, 000- 2 torx ESD (electrostatic discharge) safe, sizes: T2, T1- 2 ballpoint drivers, sizes: 5/32", 9/64"- 1 chip lifterSo, you're really getting a 49 piece screwdriver set with a handy little hook tool (Stanley makes a 4 pc hook set which I highly recommend if you're looking for that), which is actually really convenient for me, because it left me with 7 open slots on the plastic display, which is pretty much what sold me on buying the 7 pc ESD philips/flathead drivers from Wiha.As others have mentioned, you can see the size and type of driver on the handles, so it makes organizing the tools in the display case very easy.If you do a lot of precision work in electronics or jeweling or anything else, then I recommend this set. I'm fairly certain that I won't have to buy any more precision drivers for the rest of my life. I really hate spending money ($200 on screwdrivers?!? !*@#&(*&!^$), but when you spend it on something that you know will be very useful to you, it will pay for itself over time.I work on electronics such as computers and Xbox 360's.

By Daniel T. Egnor
If you're even _thinking_ of spending this much on a set of screwdrivers, then you probably want these. These are bench/technician's/jeweler's screwdrivers. You won't find any big, heavy handled, high torque drivers here, but you will find every small size imaginable, including Torx and hex and whatnot. They look like most other small screwdrivers, with plastic handles and metal shafts. Mainly what you'll notice is that they're incredibly solid, sharp, and sturdy. If you get the whole set, I promise anyone who sees them (and has half an ounce of techie in them) will be extremely jealous. Just be careful of people borrowing them -- you know how it goes when _that_ screwdriver wanders off, and now your "50 Piece Set" becomes a "48 Piece Set" and doesn't include _the_ Philips screwdriver you're always using.(NOTE: There are actually 49 screwdrivers here, plus the plastic holder. The plastic holder has 56 holes -- you get to decide which ones you fill and how to lay them out. Or keep them somewhere else, there's nothing magical about the holder, except that it's a nice way to show off.)
