As good or better than Bessey

I acquired a couple of the Jet clamps as a freebie with a machine purchase. Much to my surprise, they are the equal of Bessey clamps (which I have a lot of) in performance and actually appear to be better made. Personally, I'd buy whichever was better priced if I were in the market for more parallel clamps.

The best on the market

I have all three major manufactures of these parallel clamps and Jet is by far the easiest to use. The oversize handle feels great in my not as young as they used be hands. The locking positioner eliminates the problem of holding the locking head just right so it will tighten. The clamping heads are even longer and wider than their competition. My only complaint is that I can not find these clamps locally.

Go for quality

Just another review to say the Jet clamps are top quality. I agree entirely with MarkH's review. Rockler dropped JET clamps about a yr or so ago and I think it was a mistake. I bought the new Bessy clamps, but they are not as good quality (in my opinion) as JET. When you're clamping, especially a large piece with complex sections, you really don't want to fuss with making the adjustments hold. JET's lock clip is really reliable and well worth the investment.
