5Fantastic for the money
By J. Haas
All I can say is it's a great DVD player for the money with excellent features, some not even found on 95% on players on the market. The main reason I bought this was because my projector, the Benq MP622C only accepted high def signals via a component VGA-type port. Therefore I needed a player that could send HD (for me 720p or 1080i, but I think it does 1080p as well) over component. Since component technology doesn't support the security built in to DVDs, most named brand players won't send HD over it. The H4000 will, which is a huge boost for those who have an HD projector/TV that will only accept HD signals via component. The construction of this player is lightweight and not so solid, but as long as you're not reckless with it it won't break. I've been absolutely happy with the performance of this player considering its price.

4Like It, But Cannot Say Love It
By Maha-Guru
If you have an old big screen HD-ready TV (capable of putting out 1080i resolution) that has no HDMI input, you may be stuck. This is the ONLY DVD player I could find that would do up-scaling to 1080i over a component interface.Pros:-- The ONLY non-gray market DVD player that does up-scaling to 1080i over a component interface-- Looks great, works great (for the most part).-- Plays region 2 (UK)Cons:-- Controls are slightly flaky-- Goes into a weird demo mode if input power is cut (even when it is turned off)-- Quite expensive-- Slightly higher power consumption

3Nice Picture, Plays anything, Flaky to Control
By J. Alex G
Pros:The upscaling is great. It produces a great picture for the money. Nothing wrong here. Also it plays almost any content that you can throw at it. Basic rule is, if you can put it on a disc, and it doesn't have DRM, this player will probably play it. I wish all players worked this way.Cons:However, there are numerous annoyances with this player concerning control:1. Pausing the player for too long makes it get out of sync- the sound and picture are thrown off. I've upgraded the firmware from the Helios site (they claim they have a fix) and still I see no improvement. (Either that or the update didn't work after numerous tries)2. "Smart Play" mode is turned on by default. Really annoying. This makes the player pick a chapter on the disc (sometimes not chapter #1- therefore it should be called "dumb play" mode) and play it as soon as the disc is inserted. Thankfully, this can be turned off.3. Subtitles are turned on by default when you first turn it on. Annoying. They can be turned off though. I think they will stay off for good after you correct it- that is, until you upgrade the firmware. Then you have to deal with this again.4. The eject button on the player itself is very unresponsive. (The buttons on the remote are OK)5. Fast Forward and Rewind move far too slowly through the video content.6. I've had the player lock up totally, but very very infrequently. Unplugging it and plugging it back in fixes it. This has only happened since I hooked the HDMI cable up to it, but it could just be a coincidence.7. Forget about any run-of-the-mill universal remotes knowing how to operate this player, unless they are "learning" universal remotes. If they would just fix these #$%$!@ interface fleas, this would have been a truly great player. It is a shame how close this player comes to true greatness, only to be hampered by lots of little annoying stuff- things that a few more days in Q & A surely would have caught before this player went out the door.My Bottom line:Great picture, plays lots of content. The control of the player is useable but annoying at times. Some of this stuff may eventually get resolved by their firmware updates on their site though.

5Best stuff you can get
By TexasTonka
Keeps your power steering system cool and running well. This fluid is the most neglected fluid and most people use ATF, this stuff will keep the seals tight and the whole system happy for YEARS. I replace mine once a year although every year this fluid comes out almost as clean as when I put it in, should be able to last the life of your car in a daily driver. Mine is built for the track.

4nice lamp, but think about the details
By J. Wayland Eheart
I use this lamp every day for reading, and I love it. I don't mind the daylight spectrum color, and the design allows you to put the light just where you need it. The fits and finishes are very high quality. It's amazing to think that such a great reading light consumes only 10 watts. But be careful about the 10-watt power consumption. That's what it consumes when it's on, but, since it uses a low-voltage transformer, it consumes some power even when it's off--unless you have it on a switched outlet. That's what I do, so I am satisfied. But if you just plug the transformer-plug into an always-live outlet, you (and the planet) may be worse off than if you'd used a CF in a regular lamp.

4LED lamp lacks little
By Jesse D. Keilson
This is one of fairly few "native" LED lamps available today, and for that it gets a gold star.Pros: The lamp itself is very good looking, highly adjustable, and puts out a good bit of light for a floor/reading lamp. Very little power consumption. Dimmable.Cons: The cool hue is not for everyone. The joint between the lamp and the base feels a little weak.

4Great Multi-Purpose Backpack
By Brian Vallelunga
The Primus AW is a nearly perfect multi-purpose camera backpack. I've been looking for a backpack that could hold a reasonable amount of photography and non-photography gear for several years, and this is the first I've found that manages get the balance just right. It has many things to like about it and only a few minor flaws. The photography gear section is at the bottom of the bag. It is able to hold a professional body with a 70-200mm lens attached (but without the hood), along with a couple of other lenses and a flash. For most of my day trips, this is plenty of gear. The padding in this area is quite sufficient and there are dividers that can be arranged to partition the gear however you like. Access to the camera gear is through the back of the backpack, which helps prevent theft and allows you to get the gear out without getting the part of the bag that touches your back dirty. The photography section can also be accessed by a side panel that allows easy removal of the camera. While this works great for a regular-sized camera, my Rebel XTi with the battery grip on doesn't fit through the opening easily. I wish they would have made this access panel a bit bigger to accommodate the bodies with grips. The upper compartment is a slightly padded area that can hold a lot of non-photography gear. I packed a first aid kit, food, maps, and a GorillaPod table-tripod in it and still had room to spare. On the front of the bag is a sort of half-open expandable area that is perfect for holding a jacket, books, or other items. It can even hold a small notebook computer. The outermost part of the bag has a tripod attachment that also worked great for trekking poles. Underneath the bag is the storage for the attached all-weather cover, should it begin to rain. Finally, on the side of the bag is an expandable pocket for a water bottle. There are very few downsides to the bag. The first is the already-mentioned size of the side-access panel. This won't be a problem for most people that don't own cameras with grips. The second downside to the bag is that it only comes in one size. The bag is slightly short for my torso. It would have been great if they offered these in different sizes like camping backpack makers do. For me, an extra inch would have been great, allowing me to put more of the load onto my hips. The final negative that I have encountered is that there are no SlipLock attachments on the bag. I have a few accessory attachments that I use with my other Lowepro bags and they won't work with this bag.Overall, if you're an average sized person who wants a bag to carry around for a day hike through the park or while touring a city, this bag is a wonderful choice. I have other bags for other purposes, but I can see this being my go-to bag for most occasions.

4Good, but not great.
By J. Howard
I debated a long time before settling on the Lowepro Primus pack. There are a lot of other great packs out there, but this is the one I chose. In hind sight, I may have elected to go with the Lowepro Compu-Treker, but I'm still not sure about that. Here goes:PROS:1. Very very comfortable to wear around.2. Made from recycled water bottles3. Has a tripod holder4. All-Weather (AW)5. Nice large upper storage compartment for water, snacks, jacket, etc.6. High quality zippers and fabricCONS:1. Camera compartment is pretty small. (I can fit my D300 w/ battery grip and the 17-55mm f/2.8 lens mounted on it, plus two additional smaller lenses (i.e. 10-20mm Sigma, Nikon 50mm/1.8, extension tubes, or tele-extender)2. The easy access side door is very small. No way to get D300 w/ batter grip out the side door. It comes out ok without the battery grip, but it's still pretty tight.3. The top compartment is a challenge to get into without unclicking the load lifter straps. It's easy to do, but it's just another step in the process.4. There are a lot of straps on the backpack (this is both good and bad) and it makes it a challenge to open and close zippers with all of the straps in the way.In summary, it is a very good/well built backpack, but it won't carry a ton of camera gear unless you put more gear in the upper compartment. It's very comfortable to wear, but is a little bit of a pain to get into.I'm not sure if it's worth $200, but you're paying a little bit of a premium because it's made of recycled water bottles. For someone who just carries a camera and a lens or two and does a lot of hiking, this is an excellent backpack. If you're looking for something to lug all your camera gear around on the subway or in the car, I would get something different.

2Something of a let down
By Flag Rider
Cool concept, mediocre execution. The side-access panel, which is a great idea, is simply too small. No way a pro-DSLR or smaller SLR w/vertical grip will fit. Even a larger non-pro body like the Nikon D300/D700/5D/40D doesn't really fit.As a backpack, it doesn't even come close to being a real, outdoor quality pack. One size, few adjustments = difficult to put the load on the hips for someone taller. If you want fast access, consider a Slingshot or Fastpack. If you want a quality hiking pack, consider a non-camera hiking pack w/lower access panel - then insert a padded camera pouch of appropriate size. That basically simulates the Primus. You give up the fast access side panel but get a quality suspension and ability to a pack that fits your build.

5For men who want a little more
By John Regan
Handsome ring. I suggest this item for men looking for something more than a plain band. Unfortunately after ordering I realized I had sized it too big. I tried to take it to a local jeweler and they told me it couldn't be re-sized without cracking the onyx. Fortunately I contacted the jeweler that sold it and they told me that many jewelers don't posses the equipment they do. Long story short I got the ring back with the corrected size no worries but make sure you have the seller do it!

5Met my expectations
By J. Purdy
Chose the 720p over 1080 to save some money and because we don't do gaming or expect to hook up a computer to TV. Picture color and model style are excellent. I've been looking at the Aquos model for two to three years. No other brand or model was even considered. The LCD display is as beautiful and colorful as Sharp claims. Very happy with my purchase. Delivery was the only problem. It took way longer than estimated and I blame that on the shipping company, so don't be impatient, especially if you live in a rural area.

1LC42D43U Nice units but....with defect on the controller board
By J. Yu
I have this unit for 3 years before the screen color turn to blue. I bought this unit from Circuit City on Black Friday with my 2 other friends. One of my friend's TV got toast with the same issue after 2 years and at that time I thought maybe he got a defect one until the same issue hit me a year later. Call customer support twice but no response at all. I know it had been three years so no more warranty left, but with Sharp Aquos quality, this TV should last at least 50,000 hours. Sharp is not stand on their product by not even responding to the customer question. They can at least pinpoint the problem on my TV. I checked on the internet and finally realize that this is a common issue for Sharp Aquos owner, the screen turn color or go blurry. This unit might has issue with their controller board. I will give Sharp Aquos 4 stars for their picture quality but give them zero star if I can for their customer service and hardware quality. I will definetely go to Samsung or Sony for my next purchase. I would highly recommend you not to buy Sharp TV product if you are looking for a TV that can at least last you more than 8 years or 50,000 hours.

5Killer deal on a heavy duty coat
By W. A. Campbell
I was very impressed with the quality of this coat, thick heavy wool and well made it should last for years. The collar is wide enough that it easily covers your ears with some room to spare. One point to consider when ordering though, the sizing is generous. I ordered an XL which is my normal size in coats and this one is big enough for quite a bit of layering which I prefer but if you don't you might want to go down one size.

5This truly is a classic.
By R. Lewis
I have one of these that my father purchased in the 1950's. Yes, its heavy, and very warm! a couple of years ago, I passed it along to my son. Thats 3 generations wearing the same field coat. I own other Woolrich products including their plush throws, shirts and, other coats that I have purchased. I recently purchased another field coat. I have depended on Woolrich quality for many years and I trust that I will for many years to come. I gotta hand it to them, The things that I have purchased from them have not been the latest fad but, Exude quality and workmanship! The WOOLRICH company has been around long before I was born and I hope will be around long after I'm gone. I cant say enough about the quality of their clothing. Great stuff!!!

2Made in China! Avoid at ALL cost!
By Paul J. Meisch
I ordered this coat because I was nostalgic for my dad's old Woolrich coat from the 60s. DO NOT BE FOOLED! This IS NOT your father's Woolrich field coat!!! Please, DO NOT under any circumstances waste your money on this garment without seeing it in person first. It is plain and simple Chinese junk! If you have any delusion that Woolrich is the same company that meant quality back in "the day" you will be heartbroken. This "classic" which boasts "Heritage" pattern is piss-poor, shoddy, worse than bargain-brand construction. Having spent over 20 years in the Navy I would never have believed that my "issue" clothing could be under-performed by a major-brand icon like Woolrich, but alas, I am sadly mistaken. This one takes the cake.First of all, it is MADE IN CHINA which is not necessarily a bad thing unless it is a Woolrich product which means it is a total sham. The stitch work, seam work, wool, buttons, thread, fit and finish is CRAP! If I didn't know better I'd think it was counterfeit but alas, it is 3rd-world labor making a few pennies or yuan per day and their dedication to their job shows.Really? Little pink buttons with maybe 5 threads to secure it to this bulky "wool" coat? There aren't even 4 holes in the button to give it a little strength. Just two little holes for these mini-pink buttons and after less than 10 wears they're already pulling out and that's after only buttoning the coat a couple of times for fear of ripping them out (and no, I'm not busting out at the seams, this "large" jacket is very boxy/roomie).It fits like a bag. It may take 50 years for it to feel anything other than a block of shapeless "wool" unlike what is depicted on the Woolrich website or catalog where the jacket looks very well-worn and cozy. Nope, this thing comes in a plastic bag (probably required by customs to suffocate the Chinese moths) and looks like prison-quality cut. Embarrassing purchase. Finally, if you do disregard my plea, be prepared to spend at least a week or more trimming off all the crappy loose threads and stitching on every single seam, inside and out.Disappointed? You betcha!

4Recommended for some, not for others
By twarman17
Audio/video quality is top of the line - I cannot tell the difference between this and the quality of Blu-Ray and standard DVD on my PS3 (running to a 70" 1080P Sony XBR2). The difference between standard DVDs and the quality of HD DVDs on this player is astounding. I would say that you should only get this if you have the set-up to take advantage of the A35 specs - bitstream HD audio, 1080P/24, HDMI 1.3. Otherwise, look for a cheaper model or wait for the next generation of players. If you are looking to make the jump to HD DVD, this is the top of the line player and is highly recommended. You get your money's worth, particularly with the 10 free HD-DVDs Amazon is offering.BUT, if you are on the fence about making the jump, be aware of the following - (1) You need a firmware update right out of the box which is annoying (use this link for the best description of how to perform the update - http://www.highdefforum.com/showthread.php?t=56607 - believe me you'll thank me for finding this link, the author of that thread should be highly commended...) It is amazing to me that the current generation of HD DVD players/Blu Ray players do not have built in WiFi to make the update process easier and for easier viewing of extras that require an internet hook-up. This is a big reason the Xbox 360/PS3 players are nice. WiFi should be coming in future generations of players. (2) This player is deeper and wider than future players will be - I had to rearrange my setup to make room for it. It is slightly wider and deeper than my HD DVR Directv box. (3) Even with the 1.3 firmware update, the player is sensitive to scratched HD DVDs. The player would not play a nexflix HD DVD that had some scratches. HD DVDs without scratches work perfectly. This should be fixed in future generations of players. (4) The player has a delay when you fast-forward or rewind. It is a slight annoyance that will be fixed in future generations of players. (5) You don't just turn it on and pop in the movie, it takes about a minute to get the DVD menu up. Again, a minor annoyance that will be fixed in future generations of players. All together, if you want to be on the cutting edge of technology, you have to put up with the growing pains described above. This is the top of the line HD DVD player, and if you want to make the leap I recommend this player. If you are on the fence and are fine watching standard DVDs, you might want to wait. If you don't have a top of the line receiver/tv setup, I would do some research and perhaps go with a cheaper model.I am very happy with my purchase, and recommend this player to people like me who spent a good amount of money on their audio/video set-up and watch 3+ movies a week (if this is you and you don't have an HD DVD player yet, what are you waiting for!?!). In the end, the best recommendation is to say that I would buy it again if this player were somehow lost.

5Excellant HD-DVD player
By D. Pauley
When I first hooked this up, I thought I was going to have the same problem I had with my HD-A2 player-it wouldn't boot up. However, this player booted up just fine and I am very impressed with the picture. The sound on Dolby Digital Plus and Dolby True HD soundtracks is terrific when played through my Onkyo 805 receiver. I do have a quibble with the Dolby True HD on some discs, though. I put in one and every time I went to a different track or tracked forward, there was about a minute that the picture was silent. I found that the set up on the machine was very easy and the instruction manual is well written and informative. The remote is the same as the one for my HD-A2, so if I lose this one, I can use the other one. The machine is smaller than the HD-A2 and is very easy to move around. It's quite light, but feels sturdy when you pick it up. All in all this is an attractive unit, performs very well, and will blow your ears off when it kicks in full tilt on a good sound track. Can't wait to watch 300 on it. 300 and The Bourne Identity both are included in the package.

5An Awesome Player for High-Def Audio
By Chris
The main advantage of this player is the ability to pass audio directly to the receiver. If you have a HDMI receiver capable of processing TrueHD or DTS-Master audio, then the A35 is right for you. I have my A35 hooked up to an ONKYO 605 receiver and the sound is phenomenal. If you don't have or plan to get an HDMI receiver, you're probably better off going with the A30 and saving a few bucks. However, when you talk about value, I have to think back to a year ago when you could only get a 1080i player for $500. Now, for under $500, you can get this A35 with 1080p processing and HDMI 1.3 support. On top of that, the movies `300' and `The Bourne Identity" are in the box (a $60 value) and you get 5 more free movies by mail ($150 value). Plus: Universal, Paramount and DreamWorks support HD DVD exclusively, so some of the hottest hit will only be available in HD DVD.

Red Line 50304-12PK Manual Transmission (MT) 90W Gear Oil - 1 Quart, (Pack of 12) Product Description:

  • Easier shifting.
  • Extra gear protection
  • Good shiftability and synchro compatibilty
  • Provides proper shifting over the entire temperature range
  • Shear stability and oxidation stability!

Product Description

Red Line's Manual Transmission 90W Gear Oil is most popular in Nissan, Toyota and Mazda manual transmissions and transaxles as well as other selected applications. This is a 75W90 GL-4 Gear Oil that's slightly heavier than MTL and provides excellent protection of gears and synchronizers and its balanced slipperiness provides a perfect coefficient of friction, allowing easier shifting. Red Line Oil's MTL and MT-90 allow proper shifting over the entire temperature range which the transmission will experience due to its wide viscosity. The synthetic base oils used have a very high viscosity index which provides relatively constant viscosity as temperature changes. MTL is a low 70W at very low temperatures and a high 80W, nearly an 85W, at elevated temperatures, providing adequate viscosity to prevent wear and deaden gear noise. MT-90 is a thicker 75W90 version of MTL. The shear stability and oxidation stability of these products are excellent, thus the physical characteristics of Red Line MTL and MT-90 will change little with use.

5Magic in a bottle
By DGlaser3
I've always used and loved the Redline MT products in my commercial and personal vehicles. I am always amazed at how much the shifting improves just by changing oil brands. I recently purchased a UD1800 box truck for my business. It had 290,000mi on it, but it cranked and ran beautifully. The only problem it had was a slight grinding when going into 3rd. Ever since changing to Red Line it has almost completely gone away. 99% of the time I don't even feel a click upon engagement. When I do, it's a slight "click" as the synchros line up. This is not the first time I've cured a slight transmission ailment with this product. I keep a few quarts of MTL and MT-90 on my shelf. My father tried the off the shelf brand after replacing the axles in his Maxima and wasn't happy. I recommended RL, and he commented how much better his Maxima shifts after switching to RL. It can't fix a worn out transmission, but it may stretch its life a bit longer. I also have a F350 with ZF6, and it has had RL in it for all of its 345,000mi life. A friend with a newer truck drove mine and commented on how smooth my old tranny shifts. Thanks Red Line.

5An excellent effort by Toshiba
By J. Orr
I didn't buy this from Amazon, but since reviews of the player are scarce, I thought I'd share some thoughts.A few short months ago I bought the Xbox add-on to try the HD-DVD waters, and have been nothing but impressed, so when my standard DVD player died (my 7th one in 8 years, I'm a very heavy DVD watcher), I decided to invest in a player that will (hopefully) last (I also purchased a 4 year warranty this time). The player itself is beautiful, both in appearance and on screen (watching on 1080p Samsung LCD). Picture quality of HD-DVD is, as expected, superb, and DVD upscaling is the best I have ever seen (easily destroying my 1 year old Sony).A very few negatives. Boot times are still a bit slow, it takes about 40 seconds before the HD-DVD logo appears on screen, with another 20 seconds to load the disc, it's around 60 seconds total from power on to actually start watching the disc. Discs also don't resume play, which is odd as it seems to be a feature. If you don't power off the unit and stop a disc, it will resume where you left off, but if you power off the player, it restarts from the beginning, very odd, but Toshiba could easily fix in a firmware update. All in all I am very, very pleased, the unit feels sold, looks amazing on your shelf and features some of the best video quality I have ever seen. The few, "problems" don't really bother me, but I wanted to mention them as it could turn off some people. Thanks for reading!

5Movie Bliss
By T. Smock
I just watched my first HD DVD, and all I can say is WOW! The picture quality of 1080p/24 is amazing. This player also does a nice job on SD DVD,the upconversion to 1080i looks great too. I have this player connected to a Samsung DLP 1080p TV and an Onkyo receiver, all interconnected via HDMI. This is the finest picture and sound combination I have ever owned. I am looking forward to more releases on HD DVD, Amazon has a great selection at great prices.

3Great picture, but DOES NOT pass the new Audio Formats
By R. Garcia
I bought this player probably without doing my homework thoroughly; even all the literature says that it passes the new audio formats (True HD, DD+, etc), this player does not pass these formats via the HDMI cable to be decoded by the AVR. It makes its own decoding, and as the Toshiba customer service rep said, it passes "its own version" of the new formats, and only in 5.1The ONLY player that as of today can pass the new audio formats via the HDMI cable to be decoded by a capable AVR is the HD-A35.I am returning it and getting the HD-A35.Other than this, the player works as designed and the picture is absolutely breathtaking.
