GREAT SCREEN FOR THE PRICE....

I bought this screen about less than a month ago....i tell ya, it may not be a draper, Stewart or dalite which i prefer but i really like this screen a lot! Great picture, and i bought this screen for $467 with overnight shipping included!!!! That's pretty good! Especially for a tension screen that has a pretty good reputation for affordable screens...oh and their customer service it pretty great tooo...Adrain silva....great guy and very helpful....Got this cine-grey model and was a little worried it might be too dim but it actually looks awesome!!!! It may give the other big companies a run for their money that;s for sure! It has a 1.1 gain on and the movies looks amazing!!!! I use a mitsubishi hc5500 ( super nice projector too). My wife even loves watching in our basement now even if it's a guy flick and my kids watch their favorite disney movies too even thought they've seen it a million times already....if you find a deal like i did, buy it...for the price i paid it's almost the price for a new lower end spectrum series Elite screen sells...Great job Elite Screens! I'm very happy with this screen!

Great screen for very reasonable price

I've had an EliteScreens Cinetension 2 92" 16:9 screen (in 1.1 gain CineWhite) for about 3 years now. It has been great. We use it regularly (with a Panasonic PT-AE3000U projector) and have not had any reliability issues whatsoever. The picture quality is perfect for a home theater. No, the images aren't technically as good as what you will get with a Stewart or Da-lit but it is more than good enough for 95% of home theaters. Most viewers will not be able to tell a difference, especially with a screen smaller than 120". One advantage I have is that my projector is not located far from the screen (~14ft.) meaning I don't have to worry about brightness or evenness issues. The further you move the projector away the more you will need either a brighter projector, or a screen with better reflectivity. I doubt anyone would be disappointed with the image waulity of the Cinetension 2.

elite screen

I really like my screen. I am using it for a home theater and it is nice to be able to retract it so that it is not damaged. The motor is quite enough and the construction is sleek and well done. My only complaints would be the hardware that came with it to anchor it into the ceiling. It only came with the plastic anchors for wood but, the instructions call for concrete anchors for screens of a 120" or larger (diagonal). The screen had a few wrinkles on the bottom left corner of the screen but with time they should go away. Other than those two items I thoroughly enjoy my screen.

Excellent HD LCD TV for the price.

After researching for 3 weeks, I was set on a Sharp TV. Sony was too expensive for my price range, and while I read a lot of good things about Samsung, this TV's features for the price sold me. After having it for a little while now, this is how I would rate it.Price - Excellent. 4.5/5 Sharp was the cheapest prices between the top 3-4 brands I looked at that had a familiar name and plenty of reviews. I did examine other brands with lower prices on 1080p TVs, but I couldn't really obtain enough informational reviews or enough good ones to justify purchasing any of them just for the lower price.Picture - Excellent. 4.25/5. I'll be honest, I was a little worried when purchasing a Sharp TV. First of all, I saw it's previous model (the D62U) at a Best Buy and a Circuit City and was not totally impressed with the picture, but I had heard that sometimes bad feeds or other issues can make a store-display not as attractive. However, my real concern was if my TV would have the infamous "banding" that seemed to plague some of Sharp's earlier models. You can easily find out what banding is by searching something like "Sharp banding issues". I won't go into specifics myself about that. Anyway, I had read this model of TV -can- have banding, but that it is not near as common nor as significant in earlier models. My TV has no noticeable banding issues at all, and I'm not going to go out of my way to nitpick and search for any small issues that may be there as I can't see them now.As for the picture itself, it is great. Much better than the store displays for the earlier model that had me worry. Obviously, out-of-box settings aren't the best. At first I tried to change picture modes (of which there are several) to a User setting and tweak it using recommendations from some tech forums. This became tedious as people posted different specs and none were really quite looking right for me. So I gave up on that and just tried them on the default settings for what I was doing. I set my HDMI PS3 input to Gaming picture and it looks great. I see no reason to change it beyond that, it looks exactly as I was hoping for. Same with the Movie setting as well for my DVD input. No dead pixels and a crisp clear picture with good contrast black levels and brightness make it a great choice.Plenty of options available for picture adjustment as well.Features - Very Good. 4/5 Plenty of inputs. You can read the specs in the item description. My only reason for docking it a point is because the 3rd HDMI and 2nd Component are located on the side and stick out when plugged in. I can understand this could be an eyesore for those wall-mounting it or just not wanting to see them sticking out. I am not using that 3rd HDMI port (yet), but I do have 2 component items hooked up and the cords sticking out the side and noticeable from looking at the TV straight-on plus the location of my TV itself does make it a tad annoying, but I am getting used to it and it's not really bothering me as much as it might others.Overall - Excellent. 4.75/5 (note, the overall is not meant to be an average of the other scores). Overall, it's definately a great buy. There is more that I could say and some things I have probably forgotten about that I wanted to say, but that's ok. I don't want to make this too awful long a review. So, yeah, basically my experience with this TV is amazingly good and I would easily recommend this TV to anyone who asked me. It's price, features, and picture easily won me over.

In the interest of balance

I am writing this because I have seen some reviews trashing Sharp's customer service, and I felt the need to share my own experience to even things out.I had originally ordered the LC-42D62U (not from Amazon - sorry!), but discovered some minor 'banding' issues with the set when I hooked it up. Overall, the picture was outstanding, but in dark or deep shadow areas slight variations in tone were evident as horizontal bands. If I'd only spent a couple hundred dollars on the set, I might have just let it go, but for over $1500, this wasn't acceptable. I was initially nervous because, although most customer reviews for Sharp's LCDs were positive, some of the negative ones were accompanied by customer service horror stories. So, with some trepidation, I called Sharp. It was a Wednesday afternoon. The representative I spoke to was courteous and friendly, and asked if I could take a digital photo of the problem and e-mail it to Sharp. That was reasonable to me, so I agreed. I didn't get a chance to send the pics until Friday around noon, from my office. By the time I got home from work I had received a reply thanking me for the pics and promising a prompt reply. By the time I woke up on Saturday, I had received another e-mail saying they had reviewed the pics, would exchange the set, and would contact me to make arrangements. Monday morning I got a call at my office from another courteous rep telling me that my new set would arrive in 7-10 days, and the trucking company would pick up the old set when they dropped off the new - AND that since the D62 line was no longer in production, they would be sending me one of their brand new (thinner, lighter, more feature-laden) D64's.The exchange went off without a hitch, and the new set looks absolutely fantastic. Like all LCDs, some fine tuning was definitely required, as the out-of-box settings are overly bright and saturated (to make them pop on showroom floors), but once the set is properly tuned it looks amazing. Blu-ray is awesome!!So, the product is a definite winner, and my initial problems were handled with speed, courtesy, and professionalism. All in all, I have to say that this turned out to be the best experience I've ever had with customer service from ANY company.

Great TV

After many hours of research I came to the conclusion that this TV would be the right one for me. I needed an LCD because the room that I have set it up in is very bright during the day and is in direct sunlight and LCD was the right choice. I have set it with PS3 as my DVD/Blue ray player using HDMI and the picture quality is fantastic. Overall I am extremely pleased with the build quality and picture quality of the TV. The remote control is not the best in the world but is sufficient. You will likely need a surround sound system since the speakers on TV's are not of the highest quality. I have used a Yamaha receiver coupled with Infinity speakers and this has worked great. One word of advise: If you buy from Amazon contact the seller after they have shipped the item so you can get the phone number for the shipping company so you can make sure someone is home when the TV is to be delivered. I had no problems whatesover. The TV arrived in great condition with no dead pixels. Overall I am extremely pleased with this TV and the price obtained at Amazon was great. I would highly rec. this TV to anyone.

Great for controlling large areas and difficult to kill weeds

I use a combination of Triclopyr and Glyphosate for the really difficult weeds such as poison oak and black berry. This combination seems to really work. I no longer have to spray multiple times. I use this combination two to three times per year and rarely find myself spraying the same plat twice.I really like having a strong concentrate so I can vary the mixture depending on the area to be treated and the difficulty of the particular plant.I would buy this product again.

Good looks, great picture, Sony reliability!

I am very happy with this purchase. The TV has very good looks, sleek and discreet. The equivalent Samsung and Sharp had frames too shiny and looked cheap. The picture is great. SD cable looks very good. Audio is very good. Best of all is Sony reliability. My previous experience was the Samsung 30" SlimFit. That had bending issues at first and was replaced. Then it refused to turn on, and customer service was rude and unhelpful. The Slimfit has major reliability problems. I am very happy with this Sony that replaced it.Adding to this review after 2 weeks of extensive use. I compared this TV to Sony's 37" KDF-37H1000 LCD projection TV. This 32" LCD TV won out because:1. Sharper picture on HD signal - the KDF-37H1000 is a little more blurry. (Note the KDF-37H1000 picture is better than no-name brand LCDs). The Sony LCDs had better focus.1a. LCD TVs have a brighter picture. The Sony TVs have 3 picture settings: i) Vivid (very bright, what you see in Best Buy, ii) Standard (less bright, what looks better at home), and iii) Cinema (softer, more reds and earth shades). On the KDF-37H1000, you have to set it to vivid to watch even at home. On LCDs, you have to reduce brightness becuase they're brighter pictures.2. SD cable on LCD TV is much much better than on KDF-37H1000.2a. Motion was much cleaner on the LCD TVs. Sports blurred on the KDF-37H1000. I watched a bit of "8 below" Disney's Alaskan adventure with lots of white dogs and snow, and it looked bad, blurry and soft on the KDF-37H1000.3. LCD TV has much less depth. Looks sleeker. I also tapped my fingers and felt around the frames on the 2 TVs. The LCDs were firmer and fit better. The KDF-37H1000 frame was looser and cheaper materials like a toy.4. Maintainence costs - the KDF-37H1000 will require $200-400 bulb replacement in 1.5 years. The sales people said this could even happen in less than a year due to bulb malfunctions, just like in a floor lamp or any lamp. Note, Sony is phasing out LCD projection TVs in favor of SXRD, Hence, parts for the KDF-37H1000 will become harder to find. The KDF-37H1000 lamps are already $400 (Sony parts are always costlier - look at their digital camera memories, compared to Canon's).4a. The complex combination of chips, mirrors, projectors, lamps on a projection TV is more prone to break than the simpler LCD technology. I am an electrical engineer and design integrated circuits for a living.5. The KDF-37H1000 generates more heat than LCD, but much less than plasma.6. The KDF-37H1000 has moving parts, such as the cooling fan, etc., All of these are more prone to malfunction.7. Consumer reports rates the LCD TV reliability higher than projection TVs after looking at consumer repair data. Projection TVs had higher rates of return and repair.7a. The folks at Best Buy told me they saw higher rates of returns due to reliability on the KDF-37H1000 than on Sony's LCDs.8. The LCD TV has higher pixel count 1368 X 768, compared to the KDF-37H1000's 1200 X 720. This leads to sharper picture and better focus.9. Screen door effect on KDF-37H1000. When objects on screen moved, their individual pixels did not move as a group. The picture was constantly dissolving and reforming. Faces had spots that appeared and dissappeared.10. 2-3 years from now, I can put the LCD TV on a dresser in my bedroom as a 2nd TV, or put it in my study as a computer monitor. Cannot do this with the KDF-37H1000.11. Moving - when we move houses, the LCD TV will ride easily in the seat in my Honda Civic. Cannot do this with the KDF-37H1000, which will have to go in the back of the truck with my wife.The KDF-37H1000 was better than the Sony LCD TV in terms of:1. Sound was much better becuase larger speakers and probably more pwerful amp.2. A few more features and options that I will not use.3. Larger screen. However, you must sit further back to avoid seeing spots and motion blurs.Note the KDF-37H1000 is an excellent TV and very reliable compared to no-name brands. Definitely more reliable than the Samsung Slimfit TVs. We just came out of a bruising warranty battle with Samsung, and their reliability and customer service is pretty bad. The KDF-37H1000 does look very good compared to Samsung or Westinghouse LCD TVs, which had cheap and shiny frames. However, the KDF-37H1000 is just not as good as Sony's 32" LCD TVs. If you want a bigger screen than Sony's LCDs, go 46" or 55" projection. The SXRD projection TVs had better motion. If you're thinking of 37", get an LCD.One thing the KDF-37H1000 has going for it is Sony reliability. I work for IBM and we design integrated circuits for Sony's products. They require a 100 defective parts per million quality level from us. This is very good in the industry.

Good compromise entry level LCD television

It's my first LCD television. We looked at lots of them before deciding on this one. Ultimately, the Sony brand got us, due to our perceptions of long term reliability.On the good side:Pretty decent sound - it's amazing how tinny many 23" to 32" LCD televisions sound...far worse than the built-in sound of the entry-level RCA 17" CRT television this one is replacing. The only 32" we found with fuller sound was a Toshiba. Most were worse. Still, it's only two-star sound, but this is good for a 32" TV.Very nice I/O complement. The only thing it's missing is USB ports, but those are hard to find in ANY 32" LCD. The included audio output connections would allow you to connect, for instance, a small 3-piece computer speaker system, which would be a HUGE improvement in sound.Exceptionally wide viewing angle - if you can see the screen at all, the picture is as good as straight in front of it.VERY easy to set up. I've helped other people set up their LCD TVs and none were as easy as this one.Acoustically quiet. Some LCD TVs have a faint buzzing sound when powered up...not this one.On the not-so-good side:It stinks. Literally. For some reason, Sony plastics exude a very strong odor of processing chemicals. We found it necessary to put the thing in our garage for the first few months, just to avoid stinking up the house!The picture, typical of Sony TVs is not very natural. It's over-bright and garish; you can tame this to some degree with the video settings. If you watch a lot of cartoons or movies with CGI, maybe you'll actually appreciate the excessive colors - particularly red.Blossoming reds - we noticed that there's never any particularly good definition in red objects. However, in comparison to other TVs at the stores we visited, the focus and detail in other colors was superior.When playing back non-HD material, particularly if using the S-VIDEO connector, there seems to be a higher than normal level of ghosting and graininess...more so than we noticed on our old TV. Maybe this is normal when you're moving up to a double-sized TV.Price. At $800, it's not a bargain. But if you have faith in Sony quality, the price isn't bad.

A Cage to Love

I recently bought the Prevue "Penthouse" which is Prevue's model # 3153 cage. It was shipped in two very large cartons and there was a delay of a few days between their delivery. That said, I have no other complaints with this cage - It is well built, heavy duty, has a nice finish (I chose the Sage color) and my Congo African Grey parrot LOVES it. It is situated in my living room and I can happily report that it looks quite attractive there. My bird inspected it very carefully - being the sort of bird who inspects EVERYthing carefully, and after he had made his full rounds and peered at every joint and corner, rewarded me with many songs and bird call imitations to let me know I had done a good thing by giving him this wonderful new "bedroom".Features I especially like...The variety of colors that Prevue's cages offer are very pleasing and complement most decor.The cage is well constructed and the metal is substantial without appearing "heavy". It went together easily.It is large and roomy for the bird.The easy outside access, non spillable, food and water dishes will be a godsend for timid petsitters.The seed guards and easily cleanable droppings trays, keep mess to a minimum.The playtop is a great place for a bird to spend time outside the cage, high enough for it to feel safe enough to relax, and to give it a grand view from which to peruse it's surroundings, Low enough for even a short owner (I'm 5'1") to be able to deal with the bird and it's needs easily.The large dishes are so deep the bird can't throw them off the playtop (a favorite trick of my parrot).The bars are set to allow the parrot to move easily through the cage - even using the top to hang upside down... yet are spaced close enough together (3/4") that there can be no unexpected nips to anyone passing by.I think this is a great cage at an affordable price. I would recommend it as a Happy choice.

"Over the years I have had a variety of parrots and conures. I "inherited" a Pionus Parrot recently and needed a new cage. Not only was this cage far superior to other cages that I have had in the past for approximately the same price, but the after sale service from the company was exceptional. The cage arrived in a timely manner however one of the "trays" was dented and some paint was scraped off. I called the company's telephone number that appeared in the instructions, left a message, and was called back on the very next business day(Monday) I told the customer service rep what my issue was and he told me he'd send out a replacement tray that day. It arrived on Thursday of the same week that I called the company. NO HASSLE, NO FUSS, NO INQUISION as to how the item was damaged, just a quick replacement of the part. OUTSTANDING!!!! One word of warning when checking the parts inventory and assembling the cage. Some of the screws shown in the instructions are not included, but they are not needed either. The instructions are vague on what screw fastens what piece. Use the "long" screws for the assembly of the cage and use the "short" screws for assembling the "seed guard." After finishing the assembly I had one long and one short screw remaining. Don't panic, these are apparently "extras" as there was no place to use them when the cage assembly was completed. Everything to assemble the cage is included so no extra tools are required. Having someone to help you with assembly will make the job easier. Otherwise you'll need a good sturdy wall to lean the upright cage pieces against until you have two sides connected to each other and then it will stand up on it's own while you complete the assembly. The coating (paint) is very easy to clean, I can change and line both trays in about a minute and a half for each tray. The stainless steel food/water bowls are easy to remove, clean and refill and should last a lifetime. If I ever need another parrot cage again I will absolutely buy from this company. I just can't say enough good things about this cage. I am usually very hard to impress but the quality of the product and customer service after the sale are the best that I've experienced in my life."

i used one of these at a former work place so there was never a question about it's ability to find air leaks. i know it can do alot more than that, but that's what i use it for. it makes my job so much easier and with the price, it just can't be beat. every tech. should have one.

An Affordable Alternative

I was looking for a way to detect vacuum leaks without the risk of setting my engine on fire. I didn't want to do the carburator cleaner method. I also couldn't afford a smoke kit and didn't want to pay for that everytime I thought there was a vacuum leak.I picked up on the hole, it was a tube attached to a plastic connector that distintegrated when I pulled on the hose to change it. (No wonder whyI had the leak). I now have a tool that I can use on the car and at home to detect other leaks.I did have one problem, false positive. Since it detects noise and not actual movement of air I found it detected other activity in my car.

Excellent Picture and Very Good Sound!

I just bought this tv a few days ago and it's great! The picture quality is amazing! I have monster HDMI cables and Optimum HD and tv shows never looked so beautiful. The sound is really good. I leave it on 17 or so and I believe it goes up to the 70's. Don't quote me on that though. I also have an Xbox 360 hooked up via the component cables and it makes me truly appreciate the investment I made buying the next-gen console. There are plenty of inputs/outputs. The only gripe I have so far is that the remote is really simple. Sony remotes usually have a ton of options and buttons but not this one. You can even connect your computer onto the tv and have picture in picture with the tv playing in the bottom right. (haven't tried yet though!) I really recommend buying this TV. It is a fair price for a great product.UPDATE: DEC 1, 2010.3 Years later and this TV is still perfect. This proves my theory that when you buy TV's you gotta go for the name brands. I know people who get Olivea, Vizio, and even Samsung HDTV's to have them have issues within the first year(like sound issues and snowy line towards top of display, not to mention samsung cutting off portions at the bottom of the screen). I use this tv everyday and a lot of times leave it on for 10+ hours. I still have not had one issue for the last 3 years. This was a great investment and trust me when I say...Sony makes the best TVs.UPDATE: DEC 2, 2011.Wow. What a coincidence I happened to look at this almost one year from today. I still have this TV and it is still working great. If you don't believe me, email me for a pic lol. I've been waiting for this tv to die to finally upgrade to 1080, but it's not letting me. lol. Still works just like the day I got it. Well actually, the only thing I noticed that's not up to my standards is that when I turn it on, the Sony logo on the screen is not perfect and looks like the green layer is not lined up properly in regards to the other red and blue whatever you call them that makes up the picture. But after that goes away, the screen is not messed up and displays everything perfectly. If you can find this at a great price and don't mind it's 720p, get this.

Best Buy for LCD TV

The quality of this brand is outstanding. The colors are bright and vivid and the picture is clear. The viewing angles are amazing at 178 degrees, which puts you pretty much standing right along side the tv. Its a good idea to view all the sellers for this product, because I was able to find one who offered free shipping, and that made the purchase all the more attractive. The price is a little bit more then other brands, but I promise, you won't be unhappy with this lcd once you get it. I liked my first Bravia so much, this makes my third purchase of this brand.

Gel is so much better

This is a liquid not a gel. My mistake for ordering it without carefully reading it, but frankly I read the description a few times and it simply did not describe the product that well. It requires a blanket or other covering after application to work. It does not have the same hot/cold feel of the gel. I could not tell it was working when I tried it on me. Used it on my horses but went back to the gel as it did not appear to help them.

Received replacement.... much better now!

I had this mattress months before my baby arrived... looked great, chemical free, organic... loved it.Well, after only 3 months of my little guy sleeping on it, the mattress wasn't feeling or looking firm anymore. I even had to position my baby in different spots to try and find him a flat spot to sleep on. Unacceptable safety wise (and $$$ wise).So, I emailed Naturepedic and described what was occurring, and they set up to ship me a new mattress immediately! The mattress arrived within days, and it was much more firm than my previously purchased one was when it was new! My son is now 16 months and the mattress is holding up great!Get this mattress for the chemical-free factor, the organic factor, and the customer service!!!

seriously fabulous crib mattress

My daughter slept better on this mattress the very first time that we put her down on it (and that's saying something, since she didn't want to sleep anywhere else but between us on our king size bed). It's been about 11 months since then, and she sleeps fabulously on this mattress. I can't recommend it highly enough.I appreciate that it's organic - and that there are no harmful chemicals - and that it is still fire-resistant.I think the coil system is far more comfortable than the foam (which she had before) - and it still provides extremely firm support.It's pricey, yes, but the return to civilized life (a.k.a. when she started sleeping through the night) was worth just about any price.I'm now about to buy a second one for my next baby!

Really wanted to like this.. but don't..

It was important to me to get an organic mattress for my baby as I didn't want him inhaling fire retardants and other chemicals. Naturepedic seemed to be the perfect option for us. It had everything we wanted at a price that was close to half that of other organic mattresses. Unfortunately, in terms of practical use, it's really not that great. Here are my 3 main problems with it:1) It's not completely flat (its puffier in the middle) so I have to make sure my baby sleeps halfway down the crib or else his head will be slightly lower than the rest of his body... this is easy with a newborn but with an older, active sleeper it's pretty difficult.2) It's not breathable at all (I guess I should've known this as it has a plastic cover) so my baby often ends up sweating on the side touching the mattress.3) The plastic cover is loud! When my baby moves around, the cover actually makes a crinkling type of noise... often disturbing his sleep.. ugh!!I haven't tried other mattresses so I don't know if these are common problems but I have to say I'm really disappointed with this product and am looking to change it out.

Good basic cage for rats

I have had this cage for 3 years and have used it for up to 3 rats. Overall I have been pleased with the cage. It is a good size and you can arrange the shelves to your needs. I did replace the wheel with a Wodent wheel, which is safer for litle rattie toes. I did find the shelves difficult to remove and replace so I try to clean the cage with out removing them. Since they are plastic, the rats do chew the food cup, shelves, and ramps. I had one rat that chewed a hole in the bottom that was large enough for her to escape! It did take her a while to complete the project, the bottom is made of hard plastic. After that happened I thought for sure I would have to purchase a whole new cage. We do not live in a time where manufacturers make it easy to repair something instead of throwing it away and buying a new one. I checked the Super Pet website and was surprised to find that I could not only order replacement shelves and ramps but I could also replace the bottom. The cost to replace was much cheaper than a new cage. I hope to upgrade to a larger cage for the ratties soon, but I would recommend this cage as a good starter cage for rats.

Excellent Cage for Rats

I would highly recommend this cage as a starter for new rat owners. I purchased it as an extra cage while I was waiting on my Midwest Critter Nation (which was on back order for quite awhile). My rat was an unexpected rescue. For the first couple of weeks he was living in a single level Super Pet cage (a medium starter for Guinea Pigs or Rabbits). I really needed an upgrade while waiting on the CN so after looking at my options, I chose this cage. I was attracted by the appearance, as well as the reviews (more good ones, than negative ones)!Naturally, rats chew! Their teeth are constantly growing so they have to find ways to keep them trim. Usually if I provide enough things for them to chew on, my rats would leave the bars and the plastic levels alone. Sometimes you just have big chewers who like to chew everything in sight. Plastic is definitely an easy thing to chew through, so if you have these types of chewers, then you might want to invest in a non-plastic cage. However, I haven't had any problems so far, and if anything were to be chewed, you can buy replacements for the levels and the base (which is cheaper than buying a brand new cage).I read a couple of silly reviews regarding pets urinating on the levels, causing them to smell. That should NOT be a reason to avoid this cage because you will have the same problem with any other cage. Rats, for example, scent mark. You may have to wipe down the levels often (a couple times a day if necessary). That is part of the responsibility of having pets. My dog poops in the yard at least twice a day after she eats. Just because I hate cleaning it up every day, doesn't mean I will disown my dog! If you want pets, you have to get over the fact that they REQUIRE daily or every-other-day maintenance.I used to clean my hamsters and gerbils once a week. When I first got my rats, I was cleaning them out 2-3 times a week to keep an odor from building up. Now that they use their litter box (most of the time), I only clean them once a week (with spot cleaning EVERY DAY - meaning, I wipe down the bars and the levels, and anything else, like toys and houses). If I use fleece liners (such as on the levels in this cage, or in the Critter Nation) I wash them and/or replace them at least twice a week so that they aren't running around on absorbed urine.I think this is a good cage for 2-3 male rats, or 3-4 females. I have had two adult males in mine, with plenty of room to share. In comparison to other cages (such as ferret cages), I really liked that the ramps are not too steep. I know rats love to climb anyway, but I didn't want nearly vertical ramps like in some Super Pet ferret cages.

Super Pet for Rats

This is a great cage - not as big as the ferret cages but large enough for my 2 young rats. I'm worried that they may outgrow it depending on how large they grow. For now, they love climbing the wires and flying from one shelf to another.The assembly instructions tell which exact wires to hang the shelves from. I used some nail polish to mark these so when taking the shevles in and out to clean is easier. Not sure about the hammock. My rats had it torn down and in there bed house the first night.
