Great Rack Tom

I bought two PD-85's to replace the PD-8 that came with the TD-3 kit I bought several years ago. The PD-85 (mesh head) has a much better feel and sound than the PD-8 (rubber), so I'm very happy with my purchase.Just thought I'd mention that, with the TD-11 module, it sounds better when I tell the module that it's a PD-8 than it does when I say that it's a PD-85. On the PD-85 setting, the drum sounds muted, without the resonance of a drum. Don't ask me why, it just sounds better to me when configured as a PD-8.

Puts Cambridge Soundworks' competing speaker in the dust!

Looking for sound that easily rivals that of the theater? Look no further than the Control 23 satellite speakers from JBL. Don't let their small form factor deceive you, the sound quality is nearly pristine, and I never use the word, "Pristine" lightly when it comes to home audio.I recently came across these speakers at my friend's house. I asked him for a sound demo, and he threw in a Blu-Ray of Pirates of the Caribbean At World's End. He fast forwarded to a good action sequence, and I was blown out of my seat. The clarity and depth of the sound put me in the battle, as I was constantly having to look at my friend in amazement and shock to snap me out of the action. These little cabinets beautifully reproduced all areas of the sound spectrum with grace and efficiency, as well as maintaining zero distortion, even at high volume levels. I looked at my friend and said, "Where do I buy them? Tell me now." I bought a pair, and replaced my old MC100's from Cambridge Soundworks with these. I thought my old MC100's sounded good, but boy, these blew those out of the water. I was amazed how sound so rich and full could come out of a cabinet this size. All I can recommend to you is you experience the detail, depth, and clarity that these babies can produce. Buy a pair for yourself, and listen to the near-perfection that the JBL Control 23 satellites can create in your own home. Heck, why not buy two pairs? Worth the price, for me

I used the Chrony Master Beta for a number of years before getting this printer. I do a lot of load testing etc and I've always written down the data as I shot the groups. Very time consuming and sometimes forgot to write something down. Now I don't worry about it. This printer automatically prints the data as I shoot. However, there is definitely a learning curve, and its use is not really intuitive. Chrony suggests in the manual that you set it up at home and shoot over it with an air gun etc. I took it to the range to try it the first time, and didn't figure it out, because it took too much time. So I set it up at home and shot over it with an air rifle. That made it so much easier to learn to use it! So far it performs flawlessly. I recommend it to anyone who uses the chronograph very much.

Average, but for price should be better.

After a lot of research I bought the Weil and the Tribest Citristar knowing one was getting returned. This is a comparison of both. The Weil is 30 watts stronger, I'll give it that. It's much harder to stop the Weil than the Citristar with your hand but both motors are more than capable of the job. It is also a bit better looking, being steel on the outside vs. plastic. Cons are:1. Not very big at base, therefore tends to wobble just a bit at times. Tribest has much larger base and is far sturdier.2. The reemer isn't wide enough so instead of just pressing down you have to kind of squeeze the sides into it to extract all the juice. Also, half the ridges on the reemer or smooth and curved instead of coming to a point. This prohibits it from really tearing into the flesh of the fruit and extracting all the juice. I compared both with the same amount of oranges and the citristar extracted about 10% more juice than the Weil.3. The reemer on the citristar is much sturdier due to the shaft it sits on being twice as big as the Weil. Both were comparable in noise level in that the Citristar is slightly louder but the Weil has a much higher pitched squeel to it that I thought was a bit irritating. Cleanup for both was very easing. Both seemed to have the same pulp content in the juice. Generally, I feel the Citristar is a better all around juicer. The Weil seems more like asthetics may have been the top priority. Weil introduced this juicer with a whole lineup of kitchen appliances instead of focusing on just this product. It's advertised as being Swiss. I don't quite see it. Overall, it's a decent juicer but for the current price of $80 to $100 either get the Citristar or step up to the Breville Citrus Press.

So Far, OK

The only thing I have to compare this juicer to is the manual lever press model I've used for 30 years. The manual was fine for the occasional lemon or lime I had to squeeze, but recently my husband took to mixing fresh lime juice into his seltzer instead of drinking orange juice. We were going through 5 limes a day and the process was making our mild carpel tunnel problems flare up, and the process was messy, so we decided to go electric. When reading this review,keep in mind that I've only used this product for limes and lemons...not larger fruits.We had a choice between the Dr. Weill/Spring, the less expensive Cuisinart, and the more expensive Breville automatic lever model(which was too tall for our counter set up and more than we wanted to pay).So far, from reading the other reviews, this was the right choice. It is not truely 'automatic' because you do have to press the fruit against the reamer for what seems a relatively long time (compared to the manual press), but it is much easier on the hands and delivers much more juice. The machine is quite stable, so you can use both hands to manipulate the fruit. The spout works well and accomplishes the process with virtually no mess aside from having to rinse out the pieces. It stores nicely and looks great.The major problem with all of the other electric models seems to be longevity, and since we've only been using the juicer for a week, I can't speak to this issue yet.I don't know why they felt it necessary to include a stainless steel cup...I would have rather paid less.

Sleeps anywhere!

Yes, this is expensive - but that said, our son sleeps in this in the stroller, in the bassinett, and we use it for a traveling bed anywhere and everywhere. I even use it as a safe, sanitary and convienient changing table in the car and in stores. The one thing is that you have to transfer the baby from the car seat to the cocoon - well I figured I always have to take him out anyway to change a diaper or nurse...so what's the difference? I didn't get this till my fourth child, I wish I had had it with my first. (I have a Phil & Ted's Sport and sit my toddler on top - what an awesome design! No one touches my infant or even sees him - except me!)It has a hard bottom and sides and the top zips up and has a flap that can cover over by his face, but still allow for air - keeping him warm and happy when we are outside.Conclusion: well work the $$

Truly submersible boat trailer lights

LED submersible boat trailer lights are the only way to go, the other type that claim to be submersible the bulb an socket get submerged and eventually the hot light bulb hit the cold water and breaks or the socket rusts and you loose your electrical connection,The only draw back with the Kit was the small gauge wire that I did not use.Buying it trough Amazon I save time from running around looking for the bigger type needed for larger boat trailers, not all automotive store carry the bigger LED type.update: one of the lights stopped working after a year,I had to replace it, but I still will go with this type

Works, but not high quality

These lights do everything they are supposed to do, but don't think you are getting a super bargain.They are not high quality.The wires are thin guage. You don't need thick wires on LED lights to carry the current because LED lights use much less current than normal lights. However, thin wires will break and corrode easier.The lights are held on by carriage bolts. The head of the bolt slides into a plastic track at the back of the light. I was very careful in tightening the bolts because if you go too tight, you can distort or rip the plastic track. However, in tightening the nut, the head broke off the steel carrage bolt. The plastic (which was stronger than the steel bolt) was undamaged. I happened to have a spare carriage bolt in inventory so I was able to complete the install without a trip to the hardware store.The steel carrage bolts and nuts will rust over time. If you launch in salt water, they will REALLY rust. I suggest you replace the bolts and nuts with stainless steel. My local Lowed and Home Depot both carry 1/4 x 1 inch stainless carrage bolts.I believe I got my money's worth, but no more.

Superb general purpose hats

Among cymbal sets I own, including complete sets of the Zildjian K Custom Special Dry and Session series, A. Zildjian and cie "Vintage" series, and a few others, the most versatile is the Armand series. While there are still some musical applications that the Armand series cymbals are not the best choice, this pair of hi-hats is.They are thinner and more responsive than Zildjian A Series 14-Inch New Beat Hi-Hat Cymbals Pair, and if you keep your hi-hat clutch loose you can get that sloshing sound that Ringo made popular in rock (and countless swing and jazz drummers before him employed to excellent effect.)Note that, like the rest of the Armand series, these hats tend towards a brighter pitch and come overtones. It is controllable to a point, and even when played tightly closed projects if you want them. The "chick" is probably not as pronounced as what you can get from New Beats, but foot splashes are amazing (if you use those in your playing), and that classic sound is there.Zildjian advertises that the Armand series captures the classic 60s rock sound. I agree. They also represent the sound of the 1950s Avedis cymbals, and to my ears capture the sound of the cymbals Joe Morello played in Time Out, one of the greatest jazz albums of all time. When I am playing blues and some jazz I pair these hats with my Zildjian A Series 21-Inch Armand Ride Cymbal on the right and Zildjian 19-Inch Armand Zildjian Beautiful Baby Ride Cymbal on the left and I am good to go (I do not use crash of splash cymbals).Check out the entire Armand line if you are in the market for some great, general-purpose cymbals. However, these hats will work with any series or brand of cymbals and in every musical genre I can imagine. They are among the best Zildjian has made in decades.

Bright, small, almost perfect

LaserMax certainly has another winner here. The unit is small, easy to install and operate. It is considerably brighter than any red laser I have compared it with (standard pistol lasers in the $80 to $150 price range). This is especially evident outside, in daylight. In my opinion it would be perfect but for two minor detractors: 1. The switch protrudes on the sides, which makes unintended turn-on quite possible, especially when the pistol is holstered. 2. When the ambient temperature goes above about 103 degrees F, the intensity of the beam goes way down. This is caused by the complex electronic circuitry necessary for a green laser, and is well published in the LaserMax literature. However, it should be taken into account when the choice of laser is being made.I would definitely recommend this laser to anybody who is not planning to use it outside, during the day in Arizona or Nevada summers.

1. easy install and fit tight on the picatinny rail.2. Very bright and the strobing was fast to locate at a distance.However i did have a issue with the lasermax when chambering and firing a round.The laser would shut off and i would have to tap or completely take the back apart toget the laser to turn back on.I exchanged with amazon for a replacement Uni-Maxand just recived the package today.Have not fired the weopon with the new Uni-Max however i have continuously cocked the weoponin the attempt to get the lazer to malfuction.And the laser seems to be working greatBut D@$# my luck this time the laser didn't come with the alignment tool.So i have to return the laser once again.With that being said i must say amazon's return service is fast and just fantastic.

Not at all happy with this device.

Bought this on amazon as looked like a great product.Put in on a Sig Sauer 226 9mm and used the tool providedto line up the laser with the iron sites. Took it to the rangeand after one mag of ammo it was off target by more than 10inchesat 10yds, thought it might be loose so retightened on the weaponbut no better, Used the tool to try and bring back into alignmentand wouldn't move the point of impact at all, tried slight elevationadjustment, nothing. The laser goes on but can't get it to moveat all. Now will have to sit on hold with their tech department andwill cost me to ship it off to get fixed, For a nearly $300 laser siteshouldn't have issues like this within a day of getting it.
