Guardian Envoy 460 Economy Rolling Walker - Color RedI had rented an Envoy 480. It was cheaper to buy one than to deal with insurance. I had difficulties lifting the 480, so I opted for the lighter, and smaller Envoy 460. Plus I like red.The Envoy 460 is definitely light and small. I can toss the walker in and out of car trunks as needed. It's not so wide that I can't move through the average store, and I can manage in small boutiques with little effort. For other people, the size may not be a good thing. I am only 5'2" and weight 130lbs. I have the handles at almost max height for comfort. The seat is fine for me, but may not be wide enough for others. The storage basket fits direction under the seat. You can't access it without lifting the seat. (This may be a plus for some.) My average sized purse will not fit in the basket. I can easily push the walker around with both brakes set.If the Envoy 480 were a bit narrower and came in colors other than blue & purple, I would have bought one. Overall, the Envoy 460 serves my purposes.Note: Avoid purchasing from AllegroMedical - missing parts resulted in a 3 week delay before I could use the walker, resulting in about $200 in rental bills. It took 4 phone calls to fix the problem, and the company always refused to expedite shipping.

I just got my Envoy 460 delivered today and it has exceeded all my expectations. The color says red but it's actually more of a burgundy color - very nice and sporty looking for us disabled folks.Previous I was using the standard 2 wheeled walker and had a hard time pushing it. The friction from the back sliders or tennis balls was just hard on my legs and back (recently had a lumbar fusion done) due to the spinal cord injury I received. I was told to expect my recovery, if ever, to be at least 2 years so this is a very nice upgrade from the standard 2 wheeled walkers. The Envoy 460 feels like I am pushing a feather compared to the standard 2 wheeled model. It is very lightweight and easy to fit in small trunks. The padded seat is very nice and so is the removable backrest. The basket design under the seat is very nice and easily removable so you can carry your personal items with ease. Having the basket under the seat gives me security to keep my cell phone, wallet and other items instead of having them out in the open like some designs. The brake locking system works great and is easy to use, just push down on the levers until they click and your back wheels are locked in place. It made such a difference while waiting for the cashier to ring up some items I purchased; it was nice to be able and sit instead of standing in agonizing pain.It was very easy to put together and took me about 10 minutes to have it ready to go. The brakes were preset and they included Allan wrenches with the walker but I didn't even need to use them (not even sure what they are for). It is very lightweight, yet quite sturdy being made of aluminum. Also, this walker is very maneuverable and I can use it throughout the house. This is another thing I could not do with my old walker - I would have to use double canes to get around, but not anymore. The front wheels swivel making it much easier to turn around in hallways and tight spaces.I am 5'8" and about 150lbs and this walker just fits me perfect. The handles are set only on the 3rd setting so I am sure it can accommodate much taller individuals. The width of the padded seat is perfect for me and I have room to slide side to side if needed. But I am slim since I have lost 50lbs. since my surgery. It's still nice to know that it will easily accommodate me if I gain my weight back.So far I am very much enjoying my new walker and the new freedom it gives me. I highly recommend it and got mine from Handi Medical supply in Minneapolis - They even sent it overnight without extra charge. And the customer service of Handi Medical is just great!UPDATE 8-19-2010: After only having the walker for about 2 weeks, a small screw came out of one of the supporting braces that connect to the frame. I called Medline about the issue and their customer service was beyond Incredible! Not only are they sending me a set of new screws to replace the one lost, but they also sent me a Brand New Envoy 460 free of charge. I definately reccomend buying a Medline product if you are looking for a walker/rollator - Any issues will be quickly resolved and also beyond your own expectations!
