By C. stacy Beam
I purchased this center channel to go with my surround system which includes a pioneer elite receiver, definitive technology surround speakers, cambridge soundworks towers and a polk subwoofer and this is by far the best center channel I have heard not only in this price range, but also including speakers several hundred dollars more expensive. My old Bose center channel was a disgrace compared to the sound that this speaker belts out. You have no idea how important the center channel is when listening to movie dialogue until you actually hear a great speaker. The fit and finish of the speaker is great- the glossy piano black finish is beautiful and fits in with almost any decor (if that's important to you) although it of course shows finger prints easily but that's not a huge deal. One thing to keep in mind is that this center channel is very, very big- in fact, it almost didn't fit on the second shelf of my entertainment center. That's just something to keep in mind if size is an issue. After seeing how big the speaker is and listening to the sound it pumps out I now know why you could pair this up and it could serve as your back surround or even your front speakers.I definitely recommend this speaker- you get a lot of bang for the buck in terms of sound and build quality.

Wow! This center channel C/L/R 2002 speaker by Definitive Technology is absolutely the best. What a big difference from the Sony HTIB system I had before. With the smaller cube Sony speaker, I had turn the volume all the up to hear the dialogue clearly. The 2002 clearly blows away the Sony and this have been the best money I spent. If you are looking for a center channel speaker that wont break the bank, but performs and can compete with the high-end stuff, get the C/L/R 2002. I am a very happy customer.Speaker System:Def Tech SM450Def Tech CLR 2002Def Tech BP1.2X

By bigg ace
I have definitive technology speakers in my bedroom and was impressed with how crisp their highs are. So I decided to replace my Klipsch RC52 center channel with this. The Klipsch is more sensitive (louder at lower receiver volumes) and has more bass. However, the def tech has cripser highs. All in all, it's close, but I prefer the sound of def tech over the Klipsch.
