At first, I thought the fit was wrong -- too tight around the calf and the leather felt uncomfortable around my ankle. But, having faith in "La Canadiennes" (I have a few), I gave it a chance and I'm so glad I did. Within a few days, they feel just wonderful. They're just about perfect for everyday, yet feel a little extra special -- and that's a rare treat in the middle of a bitterly cold winter!I recommend them for looks, comfort and durability. They are not cheap, but the quality is very high and I plan on having them for a long time. They have classic lines, yet are a bit more stylish than the photos suggest. They hug the ankle and calf and offer a nice sleek line when wearing skirts. They are warm without being bulky and work well in the city and country. I seldom buy and I choose carefully -- and I am really happy with this purchase.

I was in the market for new boots and not into this season's buckle thing at all. These boots were just what I wanted: simple, clean lines with a comfortable heel (I usually go for flats but will make an exception for good boots). I wanted a boot to wear with dresses to work so wasn't concerned about being able to tuck pants into them, which is good because there is NO room for that kind of thing with these boots. Getting them zipped up the first time was quite a challenge, so I walked around in them at home for an hour or two at a time over three days before wearing them to work. There's some wrinkling at the ankle, but I expected that with a form-fitting boot like this. These boots are pricey but I don't expect to have to replace them for several years, so to me they're worth the investment.

I coveted these boots for almost a year before I bought them...wish I had done it sooner! They are amazing! Very comfortable...extremely well made and look great with pants, corduroys, jeans and skirts or dresses. Would buy them again in an instant!
