I bought one of these cords in 2009 and have been very pleased with it. The heavy duty casing has held up well tobeing dragged around on concrete, asphalt, rocks, etc. and the lighted socket makes it easy to diagnose why "the leafvacuum suddenly stopped working" ( plug pulled out of the wall socket ). I liked it so much I bought two more fromAmazon, but found these were different. The socket end was larger and round in section, and the cord material wasmuch stiffer, so much so it has refused to let go of its oval shape from being bound up in the cardboard label.It's a minor annoyance, but it makes rolling it up again a bit harder. Other than this it's just as tough as theoriginal one I bought.
