Great product. My wife as two bad hips and is going in for hip replacement surgery and finds this seat to be a great help. Would advise anyone with similar problems to buy one of these seats.

I needed to raise the height of my toilet due to my really bad knees. My plumber recommended this product as an alternative to the nasty foam toilet seats or replacing the toilet with a taller one. It has certainly done what it was supposed to - raise the height. Be aware that your toilet will look strange in that there is a visible gap between the rim of the toilet bowl and the bottom of the seat.It is very well made of sturdy materials. I find only two things to complain about: 1) the finishing is a little rough in that there are little jagged pieces of material here and there at the seams where the seat was molded or otherwise formed, and 2) it is just too darned expensive! The only difference between this and a normal toilet seat are longer "pegs" under the seat, which is the means of raising the height, and the longer bolts. I can't understand how this justifies the expense. All said, I'm glad to have it. It saves a little wear and tear on the knees, guests don't fear it, and it can be easily taken off and replaced with a regular seat.
