Actually I purchased the brushed aluminum not the black as seen here. It is made from high quality materials. Two glass lenses are provided, one in white and one in blue. I use the blue in Summer and the white in Winter. The star-burst pattern is casts on the wall is quite dramatic but with a dimmer you can lower the light. I think all lights should be on dimmers. I've never understood lighting to be either ON or off. I could see these fixtures lining a long driveway wall, gorgeous.
