Make sure you measure carefully before you buy this lamp - the shade is HUGE. I had to return it. Also the listing says distressed black base I believe but it is NOT distressed. It is a smooth and shiny black which gives it a more transitional bordering on contemporary look, rather than traditional. It really is a beautiful lamp and great quality, but it just didn't work in my home due to the size.
