I have been an Ortfon fan for many years especially the Concorde series. I have owned various other needle/Turntables. This needle has taken the Ortofon sound to a new level of a silky smooth sound with great transit response. Ortfon said this cartridge was for analog to digital transfer & they have that spot on. The cartridge is set to 2.0 grams (which is light max is 4.0) & haven't had any skipping issues with a couple of test records I own. This Cartridge has an Elliptical needle to extend the high end out to beyond 20Khz which other DJ needles fall short in my opinion. I can't say enough about this Cartridge.
