I searched the web for a three-phase surge suppressor and found the Leviton 3-phase, Wholehouse protector, at the best price, on Amazon. As usual, Amazon did a great job getting it to me quickly. An electrician put it in for me. It's a great unit (I use it at a radio transmitter site). I will buy more for other stations.

We live in Central Florida, the so called "Lightening Capital of the World" and for good reason, we are!! Our local utility offers something similar to this for a thirty five dollar installation fee and a monthly payment of six dollars (plus tax) for the rest of your life. That payment does include a minor amount for damage insurance. So if you get electrical surge damage you deal with the insurance company, not the utility. Enough said!!I'm not an electrician, but after reading the installation instructions(they were not complicated, particularly if you left out the part about three phase power) I decided to install it myself and did. Just to be on the safe side I had a friend electrician look it over after installation to see if it was ok. It was!!Perhaps the thing I like best about it is the two little green lights on the body of the protector. They indicate that the system is working. No lights, No protection.Don
