To start off i have small hobby shop. I was planning on buying the GO636x after reserching band saws for 2 weeks the grizzly seem to be the best bang for the buck, but I went with the go701 insteed due to price. the 701 was on sale and only a few houndred more at the time they are the same saws with the only diff being one is 17 the other is 19 with a powered fence guard.THe GO701 was heavy I had to tractor it around at amost 800 pounds only a few pounds diff then the 636x two people wont be moving this saw. The instruction book dident help much and this things does not come ajusted at all plan on 4 to 5 hours of ajusting to hit the sweet spot also the bade is horiable i spent a week cusing the saw out due to my cuts being a 1/16 of here and there I finaly broke down and bought a new blade what a world of diff I can resaw a 12x12 down to a perfect 1/16.Pros+ Allot of steel 800 pounds+ Dead acurate "5 hours of ajustments and new blade"+ 5hp motors does not bog down even with a heavy load+ Blade tensioner guage and release lever is bar none awesome+ table top is cast iron+ the 701 has a motorized guide it is handlyCons- alot of ajusting time needed not plug in play- cast iron table is needs a better zeroing planter some felx is seen- really poor miter guage- the fence system can be ajusted to work perfectly but needs some major overhual in this price range-plan on building your own weel base becuase there not one out there that will hold this weight and roll easy-realy poor blade "throw it away"the bandsaw is well built. the blade tension scale is a must also relaseing the blade tension while not in use is nice just dont forget about it ;-)overall im very happy with this purchase after everthing said and done it been a plesure to use and to have the extra capacity is nice probley never needed but nice
