I wanted a well-over-the-waist-length down parka. The _Whitehorse_ runs larger, so I had to order _one size smaller_.It is warm. Its patented sleeves do give full range of movement. The hood was a surprising feature: it not only covers the head; it has a narrow visor and its velcro closure is high enough to protect the face--no more snow and wind in the face. While Brick Red, my first color choice, was not in my size, I am pleased with Eggplant.

This parka is everything the product description promised. I am 6 ft and 195 lbs. The Large is a very nice fit, with plenty of room in the shoulders. The internal snow skirt is going to be very useful for keeping cold drafts out. Nice heft - plenty of 650 fill down. I look forward to -20F!

I bought this with high expectations, and I like the style, but I think it's just not a good model for anyone my size (6 feet 200 lbs). I normally buy jackets at the boundary between L and XL. Because I read this parka runs large, I bought a L. I probably should have bought a M -- or maybe even a Small! My wife laughed at me because I was completely overwhelmed by the parka. And the pockets are incredibly low, maybe okay for a Kobe Bryant but not for someone 6 feet. It's a beautiful parka but the size problem and the location of the pockets mean I'll be returning it.
