4Lightweight Softshell
By DoctorG84
Overall a good purchase, this jacket is very lightweight and does a nice job blocking the elements during everyday use. Some things I would note:1. It is not as well-insulated as some other softshell jackets. It makes up for this by being very lightweight, but if it's cold out be prepared to wear a fleece underneath. I bring it along backpacking and I appreciate how lightweight it is. With a nice fleece underneath, it kept me warm walking around town in 15-20 degree weather over the winter. By itself it's probably perfect for daily use in 35-50 degree weather.2. If you are out in rain for a while, it will soak through within a few minutes. It will keep you dry running around town to and from your car, but don't expect much more.

4Outdoor Research Credo Jacket
By brian560
The jacket is a lightweight softshell suitable for spring/autumn. It is reasonably warm but would need a mid layer underneath for cold weather (I intend to wear a Macpac (New Zealand brand Icebreaker type merino) 150 quarter zip under it for a trip to Turkey in March. It seems to be sufficiently windproof and goes well with jeans. It packs down well. My only gripe is that the exterior fabric feels a bit like plastic, but apart from that I'm happy with it.

Paying 66$ for Credo jacket is best ever value for me.I like Tall L (6''4, 200) but lenght and sleeve lenght in XL is greatand is tight fitting. Zippers and cinches perfect.
