The pirate 3 in one game be checkers with real Dubblunes! Chess with likenesses of pirates and of curse the dreaded Pirate's Dice game what be what took the life of me one true love.

If you can get a group of 4 people to a table to play some games then this is the way to start it off. Pirates dice looks simple and mildy entertaining at first, but that is decieving. It's easy to get into character and "Never be trustin a pirate!" A couple minutes in we usually have the whole table rolling with laughter. This is good for your casual gamer to your hard core gamers.The Chess set and Checker set are a neat combo for when you can only get 2 players together. The Chess pieces are a little confusing but do have there names written on the bases for easy reference. A novelty chess set but a good checkers set. I would make this a must have for your pirates of the Carribean fans. Arrgh! You can trust this pirate. It's good booty!

I had seen a product similar to this two years ago, and was kicking myself for not buying it then, because I never saw another one. SO thrilled I found it at Amazon! We LOVE this set -- it is not designed for abuse by little kids, but mine were 10yrs and 13yrs old when I purchased it. We have played chess on it many times -- still looks brand new. Love that the gameboard (heavy duty cardboard base, covered in glossy graphics) folds up for storage in our game cabinet. Chess pieces are molded plastic -- they look great -- just like the characters. Little confusing between queen/king pieces, but each is labeled at bottom (one set male/female, other pair D.Jones/& another male character). Aztec gold checkers are fantastic! Slightly gold / dark silver-pewter finishes, and clink like the real thing (made of actual metal). We leave them out in a jar on display when not in use. Dice game is good - haven't played it as much (like the movie, the instructions were a little complicated.) But it's a great conversation piece, too. As I tell my kids, make up your own new game/rules. Would absolutely buy it for a gift for a P/of/Carribean fan.
