This is my first tubtrug, the XL Purple flex tub, which holds about 19 - 20 gallons. I would definitely buy more in different sizes, even would like a larger size if available. This measures 15 inches tall, approx 21-23 inches across depending on where you measure, and it tapers down to about 18 inches diameter on the bottom. I bought for storage for water for washing if needed for emergencies, and appreciate that it is food grade plastic. It is coming in handy for soaking, washing, folding, toting laundry, and I would use it for camping, or washing the dog as well. I think having a variety of sizes to stack into each other would be quite useful, they are flexible and easy to handle.

It's 20 gallons! Think four 5 gallon water bottles. If you thinking to use this for laundry, it's a bit big for my wife to handle well. You might want to go for a large instead. It's very rugged and will last a long time.

We got this to store the baby's toys at first, but when he outgrew his baby tub we've decided to try this one. He LOVES it and so do we. He likes to stand in the tub, and this creates a nice, confined space for him without us having to fill our oversized tub. And because it is nice and deep, i'm not worried about him getting too cold. I can see that it will be infinitely useful in the summer as well, when we can set it up as a splash pool outside, and i'm sure there will be dozens more uses we can come up with when he outgrows the tub function (which I don't foresee happening for a while because this thing is huge!) :-)Highly recommend, especially for bathing squirmy toddlers! Did I mention its surfaces make it totally non-slip?
