Product Description
The Neilson Grandfather Clock by Howard Miller is finished in Rustic Cherry with distressing on select hardwoods and veneers. Bonnet pediment features a dramatic carved shell framed by stepped swan neck pediment moldings. Brushed-nickel dial features corner and center ornaments, astrological blue moon phase arch, and silver chapter ring with applied satin black-finished Arabic numerals. Brushed nickel-finished pendulum with center disk and banded weight shells. Illuminated dial. Beveled glass on lower door and sides; plain glass on upper door. Mid-door rail repeats curve of pediment and features a shell and vine overlay. Reeded columns feature heavily detailed Acanthus leaf top and bottom caps.

My hubby purchased me the Howard Miller Neilson Grandfather Clock for my birthday yesterday and I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT!!! The clock offers traditional styling with beautiful handcarved details and beveled glass front and sides. It is cable driven, and requires winding with key every 7 days (cable driven are reported to offer more years of service compared to chain driven clocks). The nicest feature is the beautiful brushed nickel pendulum and weights, which are intricately carved with a beautiful design. I prefer the nickel finish to the more traditional brass. The traditional style case and the more contemporary style nickel finish pendulum and weights give this clock the best of both worlds! Another nice feature is the auto shut off from 1015 pm to 700 am, and the light which illuminates the dial.

I bought this clock for my husband's BD and the entire family were fascinated by the look and sound of this clock,as it had a very pleasant chime and absoulutely gorgeous appearance.Our house got its own heartbeat now!Yes, the clock is expensive, but it is worth it.The only warning to the buyers -- the order takes much longer to arrive than originally stated by the seller.Plan ahead -- the delivering company contacts the customer prior delivery, so it is possible to schedule the purchase to arrive on your special day (I wish I knew this at the time of placing my order..)

Received this clock as an anniversary gift. It is now four years old and we love it more and more each day. It has a beautiful sounding Westminster chime that has a night silence option, though we never use it. Best of all is the classic grandfather clock appearance with a touch of modernism via the use of brushed nickel instead of traditional brass. It's rustic cherry wood finish looks lovely against our blueberry painted walls. A true stunning treasure that will be gratefully inherited for many years to come.
