I had previously purchased this boot in suede/stone from the big "O" and just loved them! Though these black leather were substantially more than overstock, they were less than other places and the fit was great for me. Frye boots tend to have more room for higher insteps which give me greater mobility. They wear well, nothing fancy but nice soft pliable leather makes a big difference in flexibility. The one odd thing about the black boots is that the heel is totally black, not the stacked wood heels on most Fryes. It doesn't really bother me now but kind of looks plasticky...other than that they are good basics and I wear frequently!

I absolutely love Frye - their boots are beautiful. Unfortunately, my experience was disappointing as the wrong size boots were sent to me and the right size were not available for exchange
