While cruising on the water it was difficult to hear my boat stereo speakers which came equipped mounted behind the helm. So I needed to supplement them w/ speakers in front. I originally purched some "marine" speakers from a local marine store but was very disappointed with the quality. I read about Poly Planar and searched the net and found these on Amazon for an incredible price. The quality is excellent and so was the price. You won't regret putting these on any boat. The insulated speaker wire is heavy duty and so are the front covers. They will rock the dock!!!

I installed these on my boat and am really happy with them. The sound quality is far better than I expected and their compact size made it easy to find a place for them. They have a natural, balanced sound with sufficient tight (not boomy) base response. I got a chuckle when I saw the mounting screws since they were over two inches long! Obviously the person who picked out the screws doesn't own a boat. So plan on using your own mounting screws.

I've had these mounted under the stern seats of my sailboat for a year now. They still sound and look great! I'm going to order a second pair to mount in the cabin.
