There is no need for soldering to control your turnouts using any NMRA compliant DCC system. Just program the switch and you are ready to guide your trains to wherever they need to go. Excellent ease of use. I have gotten into DCC use only a few years ago and usually take out the trains only for Dec thru Jan. This is my first accessory and it works smoothly with my Prodigy 2 controller. Setting an address was easy and I've had very few derailments. Works perfectly for connecting two loops.
