High quality, soft leather upper. Split sole design for flexibility, foot articulation, and ease of toe stands. Tele Tone toe taps are mounted on a leather forepart with a fiberboard to produce a deeper resonating sound. Tele Tone heel taps are mounted on a fiberboard on top of a 3/4" plastic heel. My Daughter is a competitive dancer, and her team uses these shoes. You should order a half size up from street shoe size. They have a strong toe box to support the foot during toe lifts, and they are split sole so their feet can bend. The leather is very soft, and insole is cushioned. The shoe is finished with a nice smooth cushioned edge around the ankle and is cut low so it won't cut in. And the teletone taps have a great sound! This is our 4th pair, and I was so happy to find them here, best price online. These shoes retail for $80

I ordered this for my daughter who is in a competition tap group, and she has worn them for the whole school year. They have been great for her! They were just what her teacher asked them to get, and they have held up just wonderfully. Item came quickly and just as described. I will order from here again!

Due to foot surgery, I was looking for a nice and flexible tap shoe. These shoes have a very soft upper that covers the foot and the tap sounds are nice and strong. I am very happy with these.
