Product Description
Red Line's 5W30 Synthetic Oil provides the quickest starts and fastest oil pressure rise. It reduces turbo lag and provides more power and best economy in an engine in good condition. Replacement for OE factory-fill oils in passenger cars and most light trucks, including most new GM cars and trucks. Thicker oil film at operating temperature than a petroleum 10W-40. It is the best choice for engines operated in extreme cold weather. Red Line's synthetic motor oils are designed to provide the highest protection, cleanliness and superior drain intervals with the lowest friction for your gasoline, diesel, motorcycle or marine engine. Red Line uses the most stable components available and formulates products for wear protection and friction reduction across a wide range of engine operating conditions. Red Line's products are unique because they contain polyol ester base stocks, the only lubricants which can withstand the tremendous heat of modern jet engines. These synthetics have a natural multigrade property which allows our chemists to avoid bulking up an oil with unnecessary additive packages. Red Line Synthetic Motor Oils are designed to provide the highest degree of protection and cleanliness for your engine. Red Line uses the most stable synthetic components available and formulates their products for wear protection across a wide range of operating conditions. Red Line lubricants contain polyol ester basestocks, the only lubricants which can withstand the tremendous heat of modern jet engines, which makes our motor oil a necessity to properly lubricate a turbocharger or hot-running engine. The synthetic basestocks have a natural multigrade property, which means that large amounts of unstable polymeric thickeners are not required to manufacture our multigrades. Red Line Synthetic Motor Oils will provide better protection than a petroleum oil of the next higher viscosity grade under high shear conditions.

By fenderwrx
I have owned two Subaru WRX's over the past five years and have used many different types of synthetic oils in them.I notice that Redline's oil seems to degrade and burn-off less than other oils...mainly Mobil1. I would recommend this oil to people who drive turbo cars aggressively. Not all synthetics are made to the same quality and it seems like Redline is one of the better brands. I also recommend their gear oil for transmissions and differentials.

By Brian Paul
Decided on Redline after much research on the best "ester based" synthetic oil. This is my 5th oil change to date with Redline 5W30 going about 5200 miles between. In the past using dino oil and other synthetics I would notice a huge difference in smoothness both at running speed and idle immediately after a fresh oil change only to wane midway through oil change cycle. Not with this oil, engine is just as smooth even at the back end of 5200 miles. Probably could go a couple of thousand more on this oil. It would be interesting to send in a used sample for testing just to see how much accumulated particles from wear are there. I trust this oil to wait a bit longer for my next oil change if need be, the protection is there.

After reading all the information regarding oil, zddp additives, (lack of) API certification, I bought 24 quarts for my brand new Honda Euro (Acura TSX). I won't be fooled by the API sticker, as it does not signify or indicate the quality of the oil.I wasn't expecting to tell much difference after just 1000km on the odometer, but the difference was there! Time will tell how well those additives work, but I have faith in Redline.
