5Outstanding product
By Randy L. Hamrick
This is a very valuable item to add to your defensive handgun. Lasers do not replace the need to use your sights, but they have their place given a need for a quick "snap shot". Keep in mind that you sight the pistol and laser in at a given distance - when you are closer or further away the point of impact will be different. Take the time to learn the differences.

Does everything it is suppose to do and at a good price. Some people may prefer the more costly soft rubber overmold grips, but for a concealed carry, this is perfect.

3J-Frame .38 Lasergrip Functionality
By William F. Beal
While I like the idea of a Lasergrip for small frame pistols such as the Smith and Wesson J-Frame .38, I found the Crimson Trace Lasergrip leaves a little to be desired. The issue is, to activate it, you have to squeeze a small switch on the front of the grip with one of your finger, then you have to maintain that pressure to keep the laser on. I found this difficult to do with any consistency. When I start my trigger squeeze to fire off a round, frequently the finger squeezing the activation switch would lighten up and the laser would turn off. For me, this defeats the purpose of the laser grip. I found myself concentrating more on keeping the laser on, than on sight aliment and trigger control. In a real emergency I might find it difficult to operate this laser grip effectively. For the price you get a bright laser that is easy to install, and once sighted in I found it to be deadly accurate. However; you would be better off ordering a grip that has a slider on/off switch such as the Crimson Trace Lasergrip on my Colt .45.
