4Crimson Trace Grip for J Frame revolver
By Bruce L. Kelley
The grip is very ergonomic in shape and the material is quite comfortable. The laser does a good job of identifying the point of impact after you finish sighting it in. However, the size of the grip is larger than the original one I used and makes it less concealable when carried inside a pants pocket. So, it's a trade off - comfort versus concealability. And the instructions on how to change the point of impact of the laser when adjusting it to my chosen load were backward (i.e. clockwise versus counterclockwise to move the beam). Sighting in the laser is clearly more of a chore than advertised. Once you get it done, it works well. The user needs to avoid thinking of this as a magic pointer that will get the bullet where you want it. Even though you have a laser grip installed, you still have to practice. Using small, lightweight firearms effectively is an advanced skill! I will probably buy another one for a larger handgun at some point in the future.

5Very nice accessory
By Kaneda0082
I chose the smaller version of the two since I wear mine on my ankle. The button placement is very nice since it activates when you grip the handle because it is under your middle finger. While the laser part itself does stick out a bit, it doesn't bother the Galco ankle holster or my Galco Stow-n-go holster. The only issue, if it even is one, is that if you are a fan of point shooting your index finger will block out the beam while pointing to acquire your target. If the laser was placed higher up like the Insight laser on the S&W bodyguard revolver it wouldn't be an issue. But then you don't have the same kind of button activation. Besides this seemingly non-issue I would highly recommend this laser. It is also fully visible in the sunlight when I was at the range looking at a target 25 yards away. It is a little pricey but worth the investment if you are thinking about getting one.

5Crimson Trace LG-405 Laser Grip
By Amazon Shopper
Was not very impressed after getting the LG-405 Laser Grip as the grip broke while trying to remove the battery. A plastic retaining tab broke off rendering the unit useless as the battery would no longer be held in place while shooting. Never got to install it. I decided to return the unit and see if the company would stand behind their product. They did provide a prompt and full refund. After getting the refund I called the service department at Crimson Trace and spoke with them about why the tab broke. The directions didn't state a correct or incorrect method to remove the battery. Pulling the plastic retaining tab slightly to disengage the battery obviously didn't work... it broke the tab. They suggested using a screw driver or small blunt instrument to remove the battery with out pulling on the plastic tab. Their service representatives attitude and prompt no hassle refund changed my mind and I bought 2 units. Both arrived and have been installed working as advertised. The directions are still the same... no warning about the plastic retaining tab for the battery, buyer beware. After discussing the issue with their customer service department, learning how to remove the batteries with out damaging the units and experiencing a good response from the company it made me willing to try purchasing again. I'd rate the Crimson Trace LG-405 a good product and the purchase an overall good experience. Can't comment on the overall use or how the product will last over the years, but I can say the laser is clearly visible in sunlight at 50 feet away. Can also say the grips are comfortable and fit well. The overall finish is on par with the factory grips, and the many different styles at the Crimson Trace website allowed me to select the features I wanted. Specifically the 405 has a recoil buffer built into the back strap a good feature.
