For those that want to just amplify their mp3 player music: Use line-out on mp3 player or mp3 player base. Do not use the earphone jack to drive it. Ended up buying an inexpensive nady mini-mixer to protect my investment from possible phantom shock. The Nady support group was excellent and helped me with my technical startup problems. Went to radio shack and got stereo y-connector and two mono adapters to make the connection from mp3 player to AMP. Tested with Iriver Clix 2/mini base line out and IPOD/base line-out Internal subwoofer cross-connect works fine. Hooked up 18" subwoofer and two 15" mains. This unit can handle either 8ohm or 4ohm speakers. Can handle two more mid-range speakers and another subwoofer. I like this setup since non-powered speakers that get blown out are much cheaper to replace. My party was a success due in part from the novelty of having people bring their favorite music with them to play on this setup. Manual can be gotten from nady website to review before buying.
