By J. Johnson
I'm not one of those golfers that buy a new set of clubs every year or so, and, after 10 years, the grips on my clubs were in bad shape. I purchased the Golf Pride kit and was able to completely re-grip my set of clubs in a couple of hours. The kit contains 13 grips (you need a different kind of grip for your putter), grip tape and a rubber vice grip (so you won't scratch your club when placing it in a vice). It does not include the grip solvent, which I purchased at a local golf shop earlier when I re-gripped my putter. The instructions tell you about other solvents you can use that can be purchased in a hardware store. The process is easy:- Remove the old grip and tape (I used a utility knife but be careful not to scratch the shaft) - be sure all the old tape is removed;- Place the rubber vice grip on the shaft and place the club in the vice;- Remove the plastic label from the new grip;- Apply the tape to the end of the shaft, leaving about 1/4 inch or so overlap on the end (it makes it easier to start the grip on the shaft). The tape is double-sided, so you peel off one side, apply it to the shaft, and then peel off the other side;- Apply the solvent to the tape - I just applied it to the top and used a finger to spread it out. This makes the tape slippery, activating the glue. Use plenty of solvent so the tape is very slippery.- Place some solvent inside the grip itself and be sure the inside is coated;- Finally, with the grip's label where you want it, slide the grip on the tape until it's completely on the club. You have a few seconds to position the logo as you want it.- Set the club on the floor grip down to drain any solvent that might be remaining. That's all there is to it. I played a round the next day with new grips and it felt great.

By Leftie33
I read a grip review on another site, and it turns out that many of the best golfers in the world prefer this grip. I purchased the kit, and regripped my clubs in less than an hour. In my first round, the first thing that I noticed with this grip is a very good feel, with a very nice tacky (not sticky) grip. In fact, in 90 plus weather, I did not use my glove on pitch shots with my wedges, and there was no slippery feeling whatsoever. This is a great package at a very good price.....and if you are trying to decide between buying maybe 8 to 10 grips rather than this kit, buy the kit.......you will use the other grips on woods and hybrids that you are on the fence with, and you will also need to regrip wedges and shorter irons sooner than the longer ones, so extras will come in handy. The company gets them to you ultra fast, and all you need is some lighter fluid. I highly recommend the grip and the company!!!!!!!!!

Being a seasoned golfer, I have replaced my own grips at least a dozen times. This time it seemed harder than other times... with these grips, this tape and solvent supplied. Though, once done, the grips are just fine.
