For the money, you can't beat these! I've tried more than a handful of diamond testers before acquiring this brand after finally asking someone who knew what they where talking about for advice.I've been buying and selling diamonds for ten years. I didn't even know a diamond tester existed until recently. Well, that's a lie, but I hadn't ever used one. These are simple, but READ THE INSTRUCTIONS!The biggest things I've found that you absolutely need to know to get any kind of benefit from the diamond tester (I've yet to be able to try out the moissanite one) are as follows:1. The table (which is where you will test the stone unless you're feeling brave) must be absolutely clean. There can't be any kind of mess on it at all. Be it a hair, a speck of dust, fingerprint, etc etc.. Use your fingernail to rub your shirt over it or some other cloth first. If it is not almost sterile, you'll get a negative result 100% of the time.2. Make sure it's had time to warm up.3. Test it several times! If you test it fifty times and it gives just one positive result, it's a real diamond (or moissanite). If it's fake, it'll just give negatives into infinity. I usually test five to ten times - depending on my patience at the moment. But at least five.If you're dealing with diamonds for a living and either you're new at it, or you hire anyone who's new to the scene, I'd strongly advise getting this product. I'd love to come back and read a review about how well it sniffs out moissanites!

I bought this after loosing money by buying fake diamonds. I took the diamonds back and tested them in front of the store owner. I got my money back. It was a foreign country.
