By John L. Boies
While I have only taken a few dozen pictures with this flash I have found it to be very easy to use, well constructed, very powerful, and to my surprise, it can be operated wirelessly from my Sony a200. It puts out enough light to blind almost anyone...course with a guide numer of 53 meters...what should one expect. The photographs I have taken so far are all properly exposed, very bright (appropriately so). I read some reviews regarding the less expensive version of this flash that indicated it underexposed pictures on Canon cameras....not a problem with the Sony. A friend of my bought the version for Nikon cameras, while it doesn't support a wireless functon, she was very happy with its performance. Indeed her and a friend compared photos at a party and the big sigma flash outshined the wimpy on camera flash of her friends more upscale Nikon. (D90).I was impressed. Buy it now. It is much cheaper and probably just as good as the Sony brand name flash that [...]

By Liu Jiao
This is a really good flash for the Sony Alpha DSLR system. It's also a much better value than the Sony branded units. The mid level Sony flash costs $300 and is not as powerful as this one, nor does it have all the functions. While the $600 flash has better functions and is more powerful, this is only $200! If you are thinking about getting a nice flash, get this one! It's made in Japan (not China) and is great for the semi-pro photographer. It's really very powerful! (almost blinding!) I don't regret buying this flash at all. It refreshes really fast, just make sure you have fully charged batteries. Pictures come out spectacular!

By Sreve Miller
Recieved this flash about a month ago. So far I love it. I am quite new at digital photography and this flash so far does everything I ask. Picture quality (as long as I don't push it past its limits) is very good. I may outgrow this flash someday, but for now, I love it. One downside, it wobbles quite a bit when mounted on the camera. Oh, and one other downside. It would be nice if there was a stop somewhere between straight out, and almost straight up.
