This universal kit works quite well. It definitely gives you better performance as advertised. However, do the extra work and install it with the included hose. K&N suggests that it can be installed with or without the hose and they're absolutely right, however, the real performance gain comes from sucking cooler air from the outside rather than the hot air from the engine bay (w/out the hose).

Volumetric Efficiency Vs.Mass Air FlowPros: 1: Design, Air get processed Quicker without Turbulence,(More Efficient) 2: Definite increase in performance, Both low end torque & top end Response, 3: Easy to hook up Ram-Air from the grill,I used 3"x10" register w/4" intake reduced to 3" 4: Head-on air-flowCons: 1: Intake size! would like 3" Min. for more air to pass 2: Filter Size! needs cleaning more often,Would I recommend this Product? well if your NOT Competing against me YES!!10-27-10I recently removed the back baffel on this unit & found a velocity stack that would replace the original, it had a larger intake Plus the cone was more efficient (Deeper) then factory!WOW! what a difference it,s now kick a$$ i've just ordered my 2nd & i'm going to set it up the same way, Did ya here that K&N i just improved your product!! I just wished they could have done that. BUT NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO, PS, it works fine w/ air temp sensor, you just have to be creative to make it fit!! See ya @ the tree! 93 Chev Z-34

Its really good works well, but there its a litle thing that its missing, the manuel wans,t in the box, and the stcker either
