5Great Stand
By Outdoor guy
This is a great stand! The foot print is small and so easy to assemble. Also holds up to 300lbs which is nice. I received the stand in great condition. I notice another reviewer only gave the product 1 star because it arrived to them damaged. I think that is stupid.... they obviously never even used the product and therefore can't give it a proper review. One thing I really like about this stand is that is has holes in the base of the legs to bolt the legs to the ground. We did that on our deck because the kids like to try to use the stand as a swing set no matter how many times we tell them not to. Kids will be kids! Love this stand! It's held up to the weather and our kids, great quality, good quality materials!

4Hanging chair stand
By S. Brown
I read many comments before I bought this stand for my old rattan hanging chair, the kind that looks like a big egg. The stand is easy to put together with the provided tools. The pieces are heavy, which is good for stability. This 77-year-old grandmother did it easily. I find that the joint needs to be tightened a couple of times after the chair is hung and used, as the motion makes it wobble a little. Keep the tools available, I think it will be need tightening regularly. I see the hardware starting to rust after a week, but that just keeps it tight, right? The stand will be left outside all year in Seattle rain, although the chair will be stored inside. It is stable enough for a gentle rocking motion while sitting in the chair. I had to remind the grandchildren that it is not a swing. There are attach holes for bolting it down if needed, but I am not anticipating doing this. I plan to give it a coat of De-Rusto in the autumn.

3Nice stand--- but takes 2 to assemble
By Stephanie
So far, this stand has proven to be a nice stand, but it's still early in the season. It has holes in the foot pieces to anchor it to the ground, but I have not done that. It seems to be pretty stable just sitting in the grass. I will caution that it looks like it would be easy to assemble-- four pieces and four nuts and bolts, but it took two of us to get it together. I notice that one of the other reviewers had no trouble getting it assembled, so I suppose that it is just the luck of the draw to get one with holes drilled accurately. The assembly requires you to wrap the two foot pieces around the bottom stem and insert two long bolts through the holes in each of the stems and the four holes in the base piece--- so you line up four holes each for two bolts. It took us some jiggling in conjunction with some pretty strong force on the bolt and pounding to get the last bolt through all four holes-- a frustrating task, but it can be done, and I imagine that it is pretty sturdy as a result of the tight fit. Mine did come damaged too-- the plastic end cap on the front was broken in pieces. I have not written yet for a replacement cap, but it is a minor thing to me.
