By R. Camp
I've had these screwdrivers for a number of years. I found about Wiha when I ordered another set of screwdrivers made by them years before. I was fixing electronic items such as TV's, stereos, amplifiers, etc. and was having difficulty with using some screwdrivers as they would wear out so easily. I had recently bought a couple of Snap-on screwdrivers at the time to test them out. The Snap-on's blades are good, but the handle is not the most ergonomic one out there. The Snap-on's did have a bolster which allows one to apply torque for removing stubborn screws... Well, enough about the Snap-on. The Wiha's I purchased were way better than the Snap-on screwdrivers. The handle was the most comfortable handle I have ever used. These were the older "all-red handled" Wiha screwdrivers. The philips screwdriver tips fit the best into the screws of any screwdriver (yes, including Snap-on) without camming. They also had bolsters for added torque. So, this was my first experience with Wiha Screwdrivers.About 6 years ago, I bought these "Extra Heavy-Duty" Wiha Screwdrivers for a renovation I was completing. Let me tell you, these screwdrivers are even better than the original Wiha's I had used previously. They're even stronger. They have the bolsters like the other ones before, but they have a steel cap on the end of the handle so you can hit it with a hammer if you have to. Made in Germany, these screwdrivers are what I would recommend to anyone if they were looking for a set of serious screwdrivers made like no others out there. Yes, I would also say these are better than Stahlwhille screwdrivers.

Wiha makes the best screwdrivers, and these are Wiha's best.Notice the hex bolster just beneath the handle on all but the smallest screwdriver. This lets you put on a wrench for extra torque without gouging out your handle. You don't get this feature on Wiha's lower-end screwdrivers. The tool-steel cap makes a handy and durable pounding device for anything that needs a good pounding (paint can lids, etc). Contrast this with Whia's lower-end screwdrivers with soft plastic caps and no hex bolsters.Wiha is still the best, and their "low end" screwdrivers are better than most "high end" screwdrivers from many other brands. But I highly recommend that you spend the extra money (even though it is about double the cost) to get the absolute best of the best in the Wiha Extra Heavy Duty line. These are screwdrivers that will serve you well for your entire lifetime, and that your great-grandchildren will cherish long after you are gone. You probably use screwdrivers more than any other tool. If you own just one super-high-quality set of tools, shouldn't it be your screwdrivers?

By Kevin Weaver
Although a little pricey for some this set is worth every penny. I'm a professional carpenter and I use these screwdrivers almost every week. You may know that one of the more efficient ways to loosen an overly tight screw is to tap the head with a screwdriver and hammer. With the steel cap Wiha tools are designed for just this without being damaged. Over sized grips made with a non-slip material allow you to apply a tremendous amount of force if required. Corrosion protective finish on the CRM-72 tool steel blades is flawless. If you want a set that will truly last a lifetime, buy a German set from Wiha and you won't be disappointed. Keep an eye on them and put your name on them though, 'cause they tend to grow legs and disappear.
