Following in the footsteps of the highly acclaimed TRUTH B2031 active monitors, the passive B2031P 2-way studio reference monitor is for those who already have a high-quality amplifier. The B2031P delivers very neutral sound, has an extremely flat frequency response (55 Hz - 21 kHz) and can handle up to 150 Watts of power.
Tight, deep bass is provided by a long-throw 8 ¾â? woofer with a special polypropylene diaphragm, while a ferrofluid-cooled HF driver guarantees clear and detailed â??highs.â? The unique BEHRINGER wave guide and the extremely low-distortion crossover network produce an absolutely linear phase response with excellent sound dispersion and stereo imaging.
The state-of-the-art circuitry used in the B2031P is mounted in a low-vibration, magnetically shielded MDF cabinet. The B2031Ps are delivered as matched pairs.

The polar and impulse response of this speaker are absolutely excellent. As good as anything I've ever seen. For the price you just can't go wrong. The forward lobe is centered about 11.25 degrees toward the tweeter and is about 30 degrees wide and so the tweeter should be placed at ear height or a little below. CD WG on axis dip is centered above 12kHz on axis and is pretty much gone by 22.5 degrees off axis. Response is smooth all the way out to 90 degrees(as far as I measured). IOW, this will evenly load your listening space. I've measured 5 of these w/ no significant difference between them.

I bought a pair of these passive speakers to replace Behringer's active version, which had developed some intermittant noise. Connected to a Behringer A500 amplifier and B2092A powered subwoofer, they sound even better (and louder).I've bought several Behringer products over the years. The sound quality and price have always been great, but the reliability has not. Two CX2310 active crossovers died, one line mixer. No problems with warranty replacement (one year, I think). Hopefully these speakers will last, being passive with no moving mechanical parts.

sounded week with 75watts hooked them to a 300 watt amp and they blew the roof off!
