This designer Brazilian chair from the Hatteras Outdoors collection is the ultimate rocker. Constructed of cumaru wood, a South American hardwood, similar to teak it is much more durable, hard and resistant to harsh climates. Because it is non-porous and high density, it does not allow water and moisture to penetrate the wood. The woven rope seat is made using DuraCord rope and has been engineered to resist mold and mildew while maintaining a cotton-like feel. DuraCord is specially constructed to be just as soft as cotton and as durable as polyester. It is made of synthetic fibers that are designed to be soft to the touch while colorfast and durable in the outdoors. This rope resists the degrading effects of the sun and rain and is very easy to clean. DuraCord rope also dries faster than standard cotton or polyester. This Rocker features the best materials available for outdoor furniture.

I hated ordering this without any reviews, but I'm glad I did. I actually needed this because I have three kiddos under five who enjoy being rocked/read to ALL at the same time, and the rocker recliner wasn't cutting it anymore. So, I purchased this for indoor use (for now) and overall I'm pleased. I have never put a piece of furniture together on my own prior to this, and it was super easy. It did require some strength, although my four year old was making pretty great progress with the rubber mallet. The most frustrating part of the install was the wood glue bottle, the stuff just didn't want to come out. The instructions were very easy (pictures included), and I put it together in about 30 min, with little ones underfoot. Basically, just wood glue the joints, piece together, and finish with some wooden dowels. All of the pieces were clearly labeled (L, R, top side), and fit together perfectly. The wood is excellent quality, very solid, sturdy, although it does not have that shiny finish, but still attractive. The chair is about as comfortable as I expected. I think it is a bit more comfortable than the typical ones with wooden backs and bottoms, but it's definitely nothing like our old recliner ;) Rocks smooth, doesn't creak, nice piece of furniture. The package arrived damaged, but the items were wrapped up very nicely, and no harm done there. Overall I'm very pleased, as it is a great quality rocker.

Must have some skills to put this togeather and the directions could be more helpful but when the rocker is well made and looks great!!!!
