ALTHO NEVER BUY ONLINE AND NEVER WRITE REVIEWS, THESE GREAT BOOTS WERE HALFPRICE WHEN THEIR KIND IN NYC WERE STILL FULLPRICE. THEY ARRIVED BEFORE THE FREESHIP TIME, THEY WEAR COMFORTABLY WITHOUT BREAKIN, THEY LOOK SUPERB. I AM TOTALLY DELIGHTED.EMAIL TO LACANADIENNE FOR CARE ADVICE TO KEEP THEM LOOKING SUPERB, A DETAILED REPLY ARRIVED QUICKLY.I WOULD DEFINITELY BUY FROM THEM AND FROM AMAZON AGAIN.

These boots are nice style wise but they are NOT waterproof, even though the manufacturer says they are. After the first major snowfall here, moisture entered the boots almost immediately. La Canadienne's policy is that the boots have to be returned to the store where they were bought, and then the boots are sent to La Canadienne to be "tested". How long this process takes in anyone's guess - but considering one needs boots for when there is snow, this policy is not a good thing. I spoke to the sales director there and she told me that this policy protects La Canadienne from "abuse from its customers". I love the style of boot, and figured my pair is just defective. So I asked for a replacement pair of boots, and I was told that there was nothing left in stock anywhere. However, when I called a random store, they did have some. So basically, the boots look great, but buyer beware because the company behind them doesn't care about their customers.

I am so happy with this boot! It is really soft, light, and comfortable! I did not think that it would be very warm as it was VERY thin and light but it holds up great in the snow and cold! Looks great with everything (pants, skirts) and I am able to tuck my jeans in as well. Overall, extremely happy and would definitely reccomend! The seller is great as well, the boots arrived in 3 business days, perfect size and color.
