It was really easy to install. It took a max of ten minutes from start to finish and it is working great. The flap closes quickly and seals better than expected. The only down size it is very, very small, I thought it would be a little bigger. Would recomend measuring your animal prior to ordering.

We recently ordered an Ideal Large dog door an were so impressed by the quality, opted to replace our cat doors with this brand. Because we actually have a series of doors, we ordered this version and the other (tuff weather) version. The tuff weather version by Ideal is fantastic but a bit more expensive - the benefit is that there are two flaps instead of one so it is insulated and keeps leaves/other out. This is a one flap version, had the hard slide door and works like a charm...for a price that is stunningly good!We've been using another brand for years but it had a hard flap that always managed to catch the tail. The latch to hold the door close was problematic and the cat figured out how to undo it (smart cat!). This has a door that is inserted and slides down so can truly shut tight.Installation was simple with plenty of trim to provide a nice flush appearance. We will use the old pet door on the porch since this is far too thick for use on a screen door but have replaced the garage and outter door with this model and the Tuff Weather (double flap) model. VERY pleased!

Ideal pet door

This is the second Ideal pet door I have bought. It is big enough for my 90 pound dog to go through it even though she is 11 years old. Great product and is easy to install. Delivery was fast and the price was reasonable.
