By M. Killam
This is definitely a hefty, sturdy ladder. It weighs noticeably more than a 4' Werner, single step sided ladder, but I like the convenience of having steps on both sides, and the extra foot. Two people can use the ladder at the same time, and you can simply switch to the other side if you need to move a little while working. It's also more sturdy to use as a scaffolding plank support. As for the packaging, I received it packaged within a bare standard cardboard box with no reinforcement or packing material whatsoever. Some doubled up cardboard around the feet and top would have been nice. There were some small bends in the bottom steps and the box had obviously been abused a bit by UPS.

By Daniel Golec
Exactly as described and exceptionally well built. Double sided frame allows for a friend to help with more difficult projects. My ladder arrived in perfect condition. Date of manufacture stated February 2012 (so it was only produced 1 month prior to purchase). For the money, you can not go wrong if a 6 foot ladder is just not quite enough to reach higher places.I was able to replace an old plywood basketball backboard and install a new basketball rim. I could not reach the top bolts to bring down the old (or secure the new backboard) without the extra 2 feet. Sometimes a 6 foot ladder just isn't enough.Stores easily in the basement as this is less than 40 pounds, and 8 feet (though too tall to store upright, lays down nicely against the wall)
