Bench-crafted one at a time, the leather journal cover is crafted from custom tanned quality cowhide deeply embossed with a bold celtic knot design. The journal is accented with a solid pewter button, which an attached rawhide cord loops around to securely fasten the journal closed. Within the green leather cover is a replaceable hard-cover blank book with 208 pages of heavy bond acid-free pages, perfect for recording sketches, notes, diaries, dreams, poetry, musings or your personal works of literature. Once the pages are full, the journal may be refilled with a new blank book (also available separately), allowing the journal to be appreciated for a lifetime. Leather portions are completely tanned and hand-tooled in the USA. Pewter accent is individually designed and cast in the USA. The celtic design is repeated on both sides of the journal. Overall size = 6-inches x 9-inches.

No comparison in the market.. period

I purchased this Celtic Knot Embossed Leather Writing Journal back in 2009 and have used it ever since. There is no comparable journal in the market today. The leather is the best I have seen, anywhere. After 4 years of use it is still as strong as when I bought it. I'm back on Amazon now to find a different one for a gift and happened to gladly see they are still available. If you are looking for the journal you will use until you pass away, look no further. This journal is made from thick high quality leather. The embossing looks great, and the pewter button matches nicely. While the journal is only single-stitched, I think it would take some serious abuse to damage the stitching enough to warrant repair. Overall, this item looks and feels high quality (I wear leather motorcycle gear to and from work on a daily basis). I liked this journal so much I bought one for my wife and another for my brother this past Christmas.
